Have you looked at normal high street stores, but online? Seem to have lots more on web than in store at the moment-imagine they bring winter coats in gradually.

Have you looked at Vertbaudet?

Or, can you face a trip to a TK Maxx? Likely to have something that none of the others have, and you might get a really decent, waterproof/windproof etc for not too much money.

I got a reefer from H&M for DD1. Obviously it is not waterproof but she really likes it and will actually wear it, so that counts for a lot.

Would she wear this? I think it's gorgeous, and have tried EVERYwhere to find it in DD's size, to no avail. But it would fit your DD!

What sort of think do you think she wants? A puffy/duvet-ish thing, or something a bit more coaty?

Is there a Boden style that she likes except for the colour?

I totally agree, what's with all the shiny fury coats they are everywhere. I have thankfully managed to make DD1 (5) think the Boden blue spotted one is cool

joules have a light pink one and blue spotty one (which dd1 who is 6 loves)

Marks has a lovely grey wool one, I'd like it for me blush

am having the same problem but dd is only 2! coats seem to be either waterproof or warm and i want both, i wanted the boden boys winter fleece jacket after seeing it recommended on here as pretty unisex but there is now an 11 week wait and they wont let you phone store or tell you if it in stock in london store

try another branch of tkmaxx, or next week? maybe tchibo will get something?

purpleduck Fri 19-Sep-08 20:25:37

Oh no, we haven't looked yet..I am still recovering from last year..

god i hope it still fits....
