i have tried and failed to find DD2 a suitable outfit for a posh wedding. help.

won't wear dresses or skirts. won't wear pink or flowers. or sparkles. or anything tight. and she is tall and very skinny.

Lots of other lovely stuff as well as the sparkly. Could you reach a compromise perhaps wear dress over trousers - especially if she's tall.

Prob won't help, but I have to confess if my 9 year old DD was being fussy after I'd suggested loads of outfits, I'd just insist she wore something of my choosing (without putting her in a frilly monstrosity of course!)

Boden had an outfit idea with shorts, and some rather funky silver converse-alikes, no doubt sold out, but might work? As long as they're in a sufficiently festive fabric/material.
