dress code is semi formal but it is a beach wedding then receptioon in swanky hotel.
This fits that remit
Can you tell I don't get out much or what?

Those shoes are so elegant. Gorgeous. But get some glam flip flops too, it can get really hot at those beach weddings. Was a bridesmaid for best school friend at a beach wedding in Sydney about a gazillion years ago.

You'll have a (Beach) ball

Lovely, the shoes are fab.

I second seasider's suggestion. If it's hot, you might need flip flops, and you'll probably find you're not the only one.

am assured temp is between 18-23 degrees at that time of year but will heed suggestions re flip flops
I nearly cried when I put the dress on - I never wore anything so pretty ever and it flatters somuch
I adore it beyond words
And the shoes were lust at first sight
I need chunky shoes as have skinny calves and need something decent there!

um

don't hate me

but I think those shoes too clunky for a) an Aussie wedding and b) that dress

am an Aussie myself, have been to a gazillion weddings there inc my own.... that is a winter shoe, imo

ducks and waits for mn attack

fair enough was after objectivity
I'm a kiwi myself but legged it to uk before attending weddings occurrd so forget climate and dresscode

Prev had frock but realised was overdressed so this dress seemed lighter and more fun.
The shoes I adore for uk anyway and finding shoes in dark blue aaasrgggghhh

Will suss out alternative lighter footwear just in case

i think pointy stillettoes better

more of the same 50s feel as the dress

spring wedding in Australia...
Stilletos no go on a beach plus due to pelvic and back issues I need solid heels
Hopefully it will be nippy and I'll look clever in proper shoes and bolero cardy!

Love the outfit ! If the wedding is in October, then still early spring so shoes are fine - in fact, make sure you have a little jacket or cardigan, as it can be cool (I am from Brisbane). Nothing worse than being cold.
