who wants to dress me for a wedding?

i'm 5'10, size 12 and I have no idea what to wear sooo as the subject says...who wants to dress me? the wedding is in a church and the bride is in white so i guess fairly traditional. its going to be at the end of October and I really don't want to be cold
I don't want to wear anything conservative especially not a suit. i have been told i dress like a child by friends (eg i pick a top i want to wear and skirt/trousers i want to wear and don't give too much thought to whether or not they match). Something funky/unusual would be good

oh, and you don't necessarily need to find a link to a particular outfit. I'm a dressmaker pt so if you describe something i like the idea of, i'll make it

there's only a slim chance that my outfit will even be noticed given that i'm bringing my gorgeous new DS with me but hey, a girl has to try! hmm, now what's DS going to wear?? perhaps i should start a new thread for his outfit!

any help gratefully received!

how much do you want to spend?
whats your best feature?

have you had a look at coast - always a good bet for weddings
how about white/cream trousers and a strapless top with shawl/shrug and one of those fascinator things.

or they do some fab knee length dresses

how old new is your ds?

£100 but less would be better

best feature? my smile! seriously, at the moment, my boobs from bf! Ooh, that's a good point, I need to be able to access boobs discretely. (Especially important if DS decides he's hungry during the ceremony... its a Catholic one so we'll be in there for a while!)

No, haven't tried coast but i'm liking your thinking luvaduck with the trouser outfit

ok easy access to boobs - then a wrap top with cream trousers and shoes to match the top

pashmina or shawl to breastfeed under

gigglewitch..DS is almost 7 weeks [proud mum emoticon}
Funky/unusual to me means putting colours together that aren't meant to "go". I wore knicker-bockers (no idea how to spell that!) to the last wedding i went to so unusual in a style sense as well

that site is amazing! i love the Bryony Hitch dress.
What do you reckon the model is wearing on the womens homepage? i really like the "mood" of it

congrats on your pg. its a bit short notice for this Saturday but if you have any events in the future that you'd like to design something for, I'm always up for a funky commission!

All Saints is great miamia if you want something different. As soon as I read your OP, I went straight to that site! I also lovely the Bryony one and was going to mention that to you!

I will have a look at which one the model is wearing later.

Thanks! I will definitely let you know if I will be going out in the next 10 years! After 3 kids, I don't think I will ever have the energy!

pgwithnumber3, thanks so much for your help, really appreciate it

I wouldn't spend too much time searching for what the model's wearing. I had another look last night and it seems that none of the models are wearing clothes available on-line. This seems bizarre but hey ho

I don't envy you at all in trying to find nice maternity wear. Why is it that shops assume that when girls are pregnant, they want to look like frumps?! I was amazed at what was on offer and ended up making most of my mat stuff. good luck with your search in finding something for Saturday.
