Am I being so unreasonable to want to buy a raincoat when it’s raining?

Maybe this should be AIBU, but earlier this season (only Aug really) I fell in love with Boden checked pink jacket.

Returning to the site last week I thought oh yes, I need something warm and smart, I?ll buy it ? only to discover a 9-wk wait in the size above mine (ie 14) which is advised by reviewers. Size 12 is a 3-wk wait. Looking today I see size 14 is actually Sold Out!

So I turn instead to an appealing looking raincoat with hood ? 9 wk wait for green so I think oh I?ll go for red.

Wait till the next day to ask a colleague what she thinks ? go to check the page only to discover a 10 week wait on the red now! The green (which colleague helpfully says will suit me better) is now a 13 wk wait which takes us to Christmas?

Sigh. Anyone seen anything nice in the cover up but no winter coat line that I can buy, like, now?

depends what you want- M&S ( yes) have raincoat mac things especially in the Autograph and limited edition section, and most of the high street stores have macs of various kinds.

Have you checked out all the usual places like Monsoon, Next, Kew, Jigsaw, etc etc?

Indeed, you sound like ou think Boden is the only shop in the world.

And imagine the horror if every other mum at school steadily trickle in wearing the same one.

No of course Boden is not the be-all and end all

Bit p-ed off with them is all for not actually having any stock and yet bombarding me with offers.

Anyway, I snatched a lunch hour the other day and looked in Next, M&S (nothing left in my size!), TK Maxx, Debenhams (couldn't find any coats!) and Zara, where evrything was grey or black. I need colour.

Right will search online for Jigsaw and Kew (don't have them here) and Monsoon too, hmm
Thanks for tips.

have looked in Monsoon online, nada coloured or nice sorry, not for what I want

Kew - four coats, 3 double breasted (I no likey).

There are no coats or jackets! Is this because we all go everywhere by car and don't need them?

Actually Marks does have some nice short macs online, maybe I could order one in a size 12 and get it sent to my local store (everything there was eithe rsize 16 or size 8)
