Maybe a silly question, but are they "in"?

I am an older Mn but am in good shape- but I remember wearing them in my teens in the 70s!

I fancy one, but want to make sure they are not mumsy?

As long as it isn't knitted by your Gran you should be ok.

lol! grin

p.s- I am too old to have a gran- I am in fact old enough to BE a gran, though not yet, FGS!

I got a lovely one in Ted Baker, and surprisingly I recently saw a lovely one in Austin Reed (tho would be more for work, not casual)

I was looking at the one on White Company- sorry can't do links- but is is £35 and in grey.

I got a green one from white stuff- i cant do links think it was £35 wore it with white long sleeved t shirt underneath also got one from next which is beige and more chunky

I like them for work, mainly to hide my norks! I tend to wear them with a long sleeved T-shirt rather than a shirt, except for parents' evening, when I'll wear a shirt. I have a lovely one from Coast and a less lovely one from Next.

M&S have these:
knitted waistcoat which are really quite cute irl.

girlsnextdoor Sun 14-Sep-08 19:08:38

are fairisle style "out"- white stuff do one which is patterned.

janeite Sun 14-Sep-08 19:22:17

White Company ones I've not seen them irl but they look nice on here.

anyfucker Sun 14-Sep-08 19:22:46

not out if you like them

savoycabbage Sun 14-Sep-08 19:30:46

I just got this one from Principles and wearing it over short sleeved t-shirts at the moment.

girlsnextdoor Sun 14-Sep-08 19:58:46

that's a nice on savoyc.

BodenGroupie Sun 14-Sep-08 20:26:38

Lovely plain ones in Zara, only £9 and almost identical to the £30 Boden ones. I'm old too and find they're a good alternative to cardigans now I seem to be getting hot flushes!

girlsnextdoor Sun 14-Sep-08 20:53:01

lol...BG- dittogrin

kt14 Sun 14-Sep-08 20:56:06

try Boden (make sure you use a discount code though, they've permanently got 15% off!), my sister's ordered a couple from their new range and really likes them.
I like them but they do nothing for my big old knockers unfortunately.

I like this and this looks better in the flesh

MingMingtheWonderPet Sun 14-Sep-08 21:20:22

That white company one does look nice.
