Have got an appt at the Benefit counter in Debenhams next Saturday, to have a tinker with their products... Which ones are worthwhile, or worth avoiding?

Benetint is fab as is Hula (bronzer). Cream eyeshadows are brilliant. I used to love their eyebrow wax stuff but have to go for cheapo Rimmel nowadays . Not massive keen on their lippies - prefer MAC by far. Have heard Dandelion powder is ace but haven't got it. Kitten sparkly powder is lush if you like that sort of thing. Also love Bathina which is kind of a scented wax / gloss for body - not as mad as it sounds I promise . In the main I think their wackier products are where their appeal lies - I go for MAC for most 'normal' stuff.

Thanks sparkle... I should say I am very fair-skinned, do you think Benetint would be ok on me? (Have been leafing through brochure)

Agree with Sparkle re: Benetint & Hoola - both are great and I wouldn't be without either. Benetint should be fine on you as you can start with a little bit and just build it up till it's as strong a colour as you like.

Also rate Erase Paste v. highly but don't faff around putting in on with a brush, just use ring fingers. And You Rebel (tinted moisturizer) and Some Kinda Wonderful (quite a sheer compact foundation) are great, as is Boing concealer!!

Also agree with Sparkle though, that their eyeshadows & lippies are nothing special.

Also agree that Benetint is FA,even if you are fair as you can build it up as much as you like. I LOVE Moonbeam highlighter and Ooh La Lift which is an under eye highlighter to brighten up the dark circles.
As others have said the eyeshadows aren't too good,I find they don't stay put although I haven't tried the lipsticks.Ooh and I can't remember the names but the perfumes are surprisingly good.

has anyone tried/can recommend posie tint? Personally I find benetint isn't the right shade for me and wondered if posie tint would be better, haven't had a chance to go and have a look in person yet

Ooh, thanks for your replies ladies, that is VERY useful! I am really looking forward to it now, I will just have to try not to spend toooo much....

Akhems, funnily enough I was wondering the same thing about Posietint, hopefully someone 'in the know' will be along to advise....

I first tried Benefit on Friday, can't believe erase paste - no dark circles!

Also bought a face powder , dandelion I think, which gives a lovely light covering in a flash (I'm also fair-skinned).

Going back for a lesson next week.

Dr Feelgood and browzings are both excellent

I've got posie tint and I like it, it gives a nice, healthy looking glow (don't be put off by the pre-rubbed in colour, it is rather pink...

Erase Paste is a concealer which actually works. Both me and my mum bought it and stared at ourselves in the mirror when we got home - couldn't believe the transformation. I now go out feeling totally fresh-faced, and have decided to get my contact lenses out of storage.

Thanks Katch. Just tried searching the Boots site and couldn't find it.

I don't know if Boots sell benefit - I went to a House of Fraser counter, which I hardly ever do, as get embarrassed sitting on the high stool staring in to the perfect youthful features of the sales assistant - but she seemed to enjoy helping me look less tragic.

Erase paste is a little tub of undereye concealer (think it comes in 2 shades) which the Benefit girlie will almost certainly put on you too thickly with a brush. Don't panic or hyperventilate at the caked-on make-up look, and don't bother with the brush. Just dab your ring finger in the pot and warm it between both your ring fingers and then pat it as thinly as needed under your inner eyes and TA DAAAAA no dark circles!!!

Boots do sell Benefit (or certainly the Birmingham one does) and they have Benefit stuff online but don't seem to do Erase Paste. Thanks again - will have a look in Debenhams or HOF.

I've got Dr Feelgood. Fills in all the cracks. Must remember to use it!

I've got Benetint and Hollywood Glo, both of which I love. I really want to try Dandelion but always chicken out of spending loads on more make up!

Dandelion is AMAZING

Better for fair skin than Hula imo

I didn't like their foundation sticks (playsticks I think) - very cakey
