Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser in Glasgow?

I'm in a timewarp with my very long hair (which I wear up ALL the time) and I think I'm going to try something different. I never really go to the hairdressers (hence the long hair) and have been to different ones in the past. Last one was awful though so I'm looking for a good stylist in Glasgow, one that could maybe advise me on what to do with my hair too? Thanks!

rainbow rooms are good = pricey though. but you can pick if you get the head person or further down depending on how much cash you have.

i know of a lovely lady in anniesland with her own salon, is that near you? jane harkins, shes very nice and always doe my hair very well.

John Parker at Rainbow Room on Great Western Road is very good. £60 for a cut and lots more for colour but worth it.

Another vote for Rainbow rooms - I go to the one in Uddigston but have used the one in George Square a few times - There is a senior stylist called Carling who is fab. Its a nice salon but not poncey or up their own arses.

I think Carling charges about £45 for a cut and blow dry, although you can save £5 by booking on line.

Hely Hair on Sauchiehall st are v good and not as pricey as rainbow rooms (i thnk). Sharon is really nice and has given me some really good advice about styles. I used to wear my hair tied back all the time so she gave me a new style that can also be tied back if i'm feeling lazy
