Was it Ladytophamhat who had shoes...?

got some boots from Fly (via Amazon) - I'm a 6.5 to 7 so went for 7 and the size was spot on for me.

ChacunaSonGout Sun 07-Sep-08 21:26:19

absolutely GUTTED all the boots i want are out of stock

Aefondkiss Sun 07-Sep-08 21:29:22

I got fly shoes recently, usually I am 4.5 - 5 in a shoe, and after a long day of hard shopping my feet fitted very well in the 4, so it might be that different styles vary quite a bit.

are you going to let us see which ones you are thinking of buying? smile always willing to look at footwear.

which site are you looking at? might be available elsewhere... Schuh and Office sell Fly ...

I'm a 6 and I bought size 6 Fly boots last year (can't remember the name - knee high, black) and they were fine. But I bought some shoes (Yuna, Yoda...something like that) in a 6, and my feet were spilling over the sides and my toes were squished.

Though if they are out of stock that's kind of irrelevant, anyway...

These are said boots wot I bought

I tried on fly booys yesterday, but couldn't do them up over my calves.

But I did get fab Fly shoes, red patent with chunky rubber wedge. I am usually a 4.5 and bought a 3. I am never a 3.

Gorgeous stuff though I thouht.

Incidently, whoever was looking for Frye boots, they now them in House of Fraseer. Couldn't get those on either those.

Chuky calves and a high instep!!

these lovelys

I have some fly shoes and they are generous.

SorenLorensen Sun 07-Sep-08 21:37:28

Yes, I think they are on the skinny side (not wanting to blow one's own trumpet but I do have skinny calves - knee boots are often very gapey on me).

ChacunaSonGout Sun 07-Sep-08 21:38:38

considering these but also out of stock

SorenLorensen Sun 07-Sep-08 21:39:14

I much prefer the first ones - v. nice.

ChacunaSonGout Sun 07-Sep-08 21:39:42

my calves are thicker than my thighs! it all seems irrelevant as i appear to be slow on the 'red' uptake

ChacunaSonGout Sun 07-Sep-08 21:40:05

yes those first ones are dreamy and i am obsessing now!

woodenchair Sun 07-Sep-08 22:08:49

I love fly boots!! look really comfy and would make me look really tall! They've got that rubber wedgey thing that was on the dolly shoes in the summer

woodenchair Sun 07-Sep-08 22:14:44

opps just realised I posted the same ones as you Chacunasongout blush

ChacunaSonGout Sun 07-Sep-08 22:27:36

I love both of those pairs of boots. I've got some Fly ones and they're my usual 7 and fit perfectly. I sympathise greatly over the whole 'calf' issue, I can rarely find boots that will zip up.

Aefondkiss Mon 08-Sep-08 17:49:23

Chacuna, they are fab boots, I think they are nice in all the colours.

I bought fly shoes from amazon too. I'm five, they were size five they fitted fine.

I would buy another more wintery pair except they don't seem to have them on the website anymore.
