Would be so grateful if anyone can recommend a decent mid-price suit (say £100-£200) for DH. We are a bit skint but he needs one for interviews. One he bought from Next last year did not stand up to heavy wear as the trousers fell apart (admittedly he wore it almost constantly for about a year). MIL wants him to buy one from Asda...I would like to avoid this option if at all possible! Thanks in advance
Dh has been happy with M&S performance suits - I think 95% wool 5% lycra so don't sag at knees after driving and sitting. Well within budget.
Are there any good general menswear shops in your area?DH goes to Slaters, but I think they are only in Scotland. They sell a range of prices and will do alterations aswell.
moss bros? or racing green..husband got his from an outlet store though...
Nicky, slaters have loads of brances now- not just in Scotland. Slaters.

M&S have ones you can stick in the washing machine
Marks, buy two pairs of trousers at the time, makes the suit last waaaay longer!
this one in Marks is £180 incl 2 pairs of trousers, comes in black or grey
Brilliant help! Thanks guys I knew you would come up with some good suggestions x
look at burtons online - better sale stuff than in store.
Dp bought one from Next, £130. Very nice suits there, and you can order it in if they don't have the size instore.
Meant to say, it hasn't fallen apart yet!!
Thanks all, will drag DH round the shops tomorrow to have a peep at some of your recommendations. He doesn't really 'get' shopping, the poor lamb
