Know they were very fashionable a while ago - are they still?

Eyeing up a black Boden wrap dress on ebay - could be a bargain but will I look 3 years past my sell by date?

No no no completely out of date.

Tunics with gladiator sandals/with leggings and ballet flats/with tights/tight sweater/chunky boots are NOW.

Only if you are size 8

Know wrap dresses are supposed to conceal blobstomach but my is still there And if they are true wrap I find that they are constantly flapping open at split. never know how to stop them riding up tights cos cant wear a slip under split ones. Big fangrin

They are def not 'very fashionable' at the mo, but does that really matter ?

Buy clothes that suit your shape, not stuff that is hyper fashionable.

I think they're good! And I wear a slip with mine if I have DS with me (he's good at super-speed flashery)

Dogsby Mon 01-Sep-08 09:45:12

ah now
i have a opinion
always WAS the worng shape then foudn on i like
ihave paired with HUGE feck off patent leather belt
even women in shop said ooh yes, had never htought of that combo
so now its relaly jsut a straigh dress.

They may be a pit passe, but they really flatter my figure (tunics can make me look very top heavy).
I say wear what you like, what suits you and what you feel comfortable in.
Depending on price etc, get the dress (if you like it) and keep it fresh with trendy accessories.

NomDePlume Mon 01-Sep-08 09:45:28

traceybath Mon 01-Sep-08 09:46:03

DomesticBlobess Mon 01-Sep-08 09:48:15

Ta for advice

I am a 12 but bit pear shaped - does any one have the Boden jersey type - does it cling to every bump?

Dogsby Mon 01-Sep-08 09:48:55

i often fidn them too flared.

NomDePlume Mon 01-Sep-08 09:50:17

I've got the Boden woolly one in damson. Tis nice. Had to go a size down though, It was a bit shapeless in the size I normally buy

Dogsby Mon 01-Sep-08 09:50:39

yes a 20 can be

traceybath Mon 01-Sep-08 09:50:52

Have ordered boden jersey in past and it is a bit clingy.

The knitted dress i got is lined so not clingy and quite slim fitting.

Also not too long in regular length as i'm short.

"leggings/footless tights are still 'in' are they ? Thought they'd had their day some time ago"

No - leggings are everywhere this season. But not on their own - with the tunic.
