MyDD3 is skinny and although nearly 2 is fitting into 18-24month just, but the waist is always toooooooo big.She has just grown into her big sisters Boden bootleg sweatmaterial trousers and they fit good but none of her sisters other trousers of same age fit. Dont really want to buy more new Boden. Have tried her in Next and no good any reccomendations?

Pumpkin Patch trousers for boys have adjustable waists, it's probably the same for girls. The supermarkets sometimes do similar style adjustable trousers, but you need to keep looking as they don't always have them.

Sympathy from the parent of a super-skinny DS.

We have same problem. You can often get trousers with adjustable waists (like maternity under the bump jeans with elastic and buttons inside the waistband) so it's just a matter of keeping an eye out for them. I've some from mothercare, adams and primark. All work well

Ah yes but dont you find adjustable waists can be very uncomfortable especially when they need to be pulled a lot

can only say from boy pov but gap do quite a lot of slim fit and adjustable waist. ds is 3.4 and still wearing a pair of pumpkin patch shorts size 18m. next are vast, he has a pair of 12-18m shorts from them.

you have to make sure that pants come between adjustable elastic bit and body then they are ok.

I tend to leave the waists just tight enough that they don't fall down over his hips. I don't like them too snug fitting as he leaves going to the loo until the very last second so they need to be easy to pull down. I find that means that they don't rub on the waist at all.

Pumpkin patch girls trews are not too bad and are adjustable - try a pair of stretchy bootlegs. Off the high street I have found Gap to be the slimmest. Also going one size down helps (e.g. buy size 12-18mth).
