Emotion do wider leg boots and if you keep checking their website they regularly have special promotions with ankle boots at £30 and high leg boots for £50.

Duo? Sorry if someone has mentioned them.

I bought some in Evans a couple of years ago - normal foot width but wider calves - nice but not as good or well shaped as Duo.

Buckles & Bows quite often have sales too, I've had a couple of pairs from them.

I have size 3 feet but size 14 legs so big problem for me. Evans start at a 4 if you've small feet, as they're probably a bit cheaper than the others mentioned.

What about Kate Kuba? I think they're quite good for wider calves and ankles. Saw they had 70% off when I passed today.

In fact mega sale

LetThemEatCake Wed 27-Aug-08 14:19:45

also these guys, although I think they are rather pricey

Try Ebay- often DUO boots are on there.

Dr Marten - their women's fashion range, Evans, Clarks, Fat Face. Also - Had some from Shoe Express, they fitted well roudn my calves but fell apart after a few weeks. But were only £20. But I do love my Duos (and am also on public sector salary!).

Evans - also good cos you can try em on first. I am a size 10/12 but have huge calf muscles and the Evans boots fit me really well

JackieNo Wed 27-Aug-08 23:01:10

Andn keep an eye out for Duo sales too - I recently bought some brown, flat knee length ones from there reduced to £55. They're gorgeous (sorry). But also Evans (though I've had shoes from there before that have turned out not to be watertightsad).

Next's wide fitting boots have wide calves as well as wide feet - I have a pair which fit (snugly) and am about halfway through the Duo range of fittings (having measured my calves but never actually bought from Duo, sigh).
