can someone recommend a good mid priced foundation please?

I am currently using l'oreal true match minerals...not sure about it, i have quite dry skin and it seems to show up the dry patches.
I also have on the go a maybelline everfresh one and a No.7 one that comes with a brush in it, which is awful..really streaky.

Is Mac too expensive? They have a variety and the one I use is specifically for slightly dry skin. Can't remember what it's called off hand, but am certain the girls at the counter can help. Not too cheap though - about £14 I think.

Maybelline Instant Rewind Anti-Ageing Foundation. You have to be really careful about matching it to your skin tone, though. Get the right tone and it's great - gives a flawless but fairly light finish.

How much are you wanting to pay?

I have found Clinique foundations excellent- currently using Repair Wear, but they also do plenty of others for dry skin.

They are not cheap- around £20- but i find they last for 6 months and I use loads every day.

Another option is a tinted moisturiser , with concealer.

No7 Intelligent Foundation always seems to suit my skin (combination).

For me Clinique was way too heavy, but giver a good finish. I always had good comments whenever I wore it. But Mac is much better.
I am thinking about all this advertizing on Sheer cover....[hmmm] anyone tried it , any good?

Their range is reasonably priced (about £10) and i have worked my way through most of them over the years. I also have dry skin, I tried minerals and no good. I have tried much more expensive ones too but I always come back to Almay!

rani - do you mean the one I use, or all clinique? The Repair Wear does have good coverage but if you use just the tiniest bit it smooths really well and doesn't look heavy- it looks very natural.

They also do a Dewy Smooth and Superbalanced, which is good for combo skin.

Max Factor Age Renew, is great. Don't be put off if you're under 40 by the name, it's great if you have dry patches, cos it has Olay moisturisers mixed in (MF and Olay now same company)

It's about £9 a go, and feels really good. Bear in mind I was strictly an Estss Lauder girl before I found this.

I think £20 is probably my maximum. tbh i have always heard MAC was good but thoguht it was way more expensive than £14!

Just one more thing- if you have dry patches, try to go for a non-perfumed type as if you slightly sensitive skin some make up might make it worse.

Bobbi Brown is v good but may be a bit pricey. It's the only one I;'ve tried that doesn;t irritate my skin or smell talcy

I would echo Iliketomoveitmoveit - I have used No7 Intelligent Foundation for about 4 years now and it blends really well and isn't too heavy.
I agree the new one they have with the brush isn't quite so easy.

ANother vote fo clinique gentle light fondation - tis lovely at £18.50... last a good while too.

Also, if you have advantage points you can use them to buy it at Boots - its bonus time there at the moment too

Benefit Non-Fiction foundation is light and not drying and in your price-range I think.

Another one here for Clinque - I use their Superbalanced range . Have been using it for years , best foundation I have ever used - about £17 a bottle.

Just one thing on clinique - I've got quite dry skin and I've always found cliniqu products make it worse. I'm not sure if that's just me? But my sense is that clinique does work better for oily or combo skins.

I really hope my mac price is right - they last such a long time ( i dropped mine, spilling half of it and still haven't had to buy one for months and months and months), I'm slightly concerned I made the number up! Let me know Mabel if I was actually lying through my teeth to you on price!

blinglovin..i had a quick look on kelkoo and it lists one MAC foundation as £19, not sure if it's the one you meant, But as you say they do last for ages so you do get your money's worth. i think paying too little for foundation can be a false economy sometimes.
