The code is quite smart dress. I am 5'4 and very slim. I don't wear skirts or dresses and I like to cover up. I need shoes too- something practical- I will have 3 yo ds with me. Budget £100 for outfit (not inc. shoes) Preferably something I can wear again.

Can anyone help me?

So are you after a dress/skirt, even though you don't normally wear them, or would you prefer trousers? Maybe with a smart tunic top?

Trousers with tunic top would be good. I dont do dresses or skirts at all really.

Can you do short sleeved, or would it need to be long sleeved? V-neck, or not? Just trying to gauge how covered up you like to be.

If you could do a bit of a v-neck, maybe something like this with some wide-legged trousers? Or in bronze if it suited your colouring better?

v neck is ok not too low though. Short sleeved is also ok.

I like dark pinks, whites, creams, dark greeny-blues, some bright blues, greys. Not very adventurous with colours I'm afraid.

I don't think it's too casual at all - would you wear a shrug or something over the top? Lovely colours.

If it didn't fit, you could have it taken in at a tailor/alteration place v easily, for about £10-£15 I shoud think.

Those trousers are very nice-I've never shopped in coast do they make quite long legged trousers?

I don't know what I would wear on top. A white cardi?

If you went for white trousers,
I'd go for a dark pink cardi/wrap. Something like this:

yes I think that would go nicely missyblythe.

So what shoes/bag/jewellery do I wear?

No idea how long Coast trousers are, I'm afraid, but apparently Coast customer services are v. helpful, so you could ring them and ask.

Something along these lines?

flipslops

flipflops

clutch

And some gold jewelerry? A gold cuff bangle and a fairly chunk necklace

staryeyed · 12/08/2008 14:53

The second sandals are ok but look like they may rub.

Not sure about the clutch bag.
