The code is quite smart dress. I am 5'4 and very slim. I don't wear skirts or dresses and I like to cover up. I need shoes too- something practical- I will have 3 yo ds with me. Budget £100 for outfit (not inc. shoes) Preferably something I can wear again.

Can anyone help me?

So are you after a dress/skirt, even though you don't normally wear them, or would you prefer trousers? Maybe with a smart tunic top?

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:13:18

Trousers with tunic top would be good. I dont do dresses or skirts at all really.

Can you do short sleeved, or would it need to be long sleeved? V-neck, or not? Just trying to gauge how covered up you like to be.

If you could do a bit of a v-neck, maybe something like this with some wide-legged trousers? Or in bronze if it suited your colouring better?

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:20:43

v neck is ok not too low though. Short sleeved is also ok.

Do you like this top? Would look fab with loose trousers and flat sandals

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:22:39

that blouse is nice JackieNo but I dont really like the colours.

missblythe Tue 12-Aug-08 14:24:17

What sort of colours do you usualy wear, Stary?

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:25:13

Tmmj could you link to shirt I looked through monsoon but cant find it.

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:27:02

I like dark pinks, whites, creams, dark greeny-blues, some bright blues, greys. Not very adventurous with colours I'm afraid.

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:30:17 I found this and quite like it but Im not sure that A it will fit me well and B that it wont look too casual.

JackieNo Tue 12-Aug-08 14:32:47

I don't think it's too casual at all - would you wear a shrug or something over the top? Lovely colours.

missblythe Tue 12-Aug-08 14:34:30

Very pretty top, would look fab with wide white trousers, flat gold flipflops and gold jewellery.

If it didn't fit, you could have it taken in at a tailor/alteration place v easily, for about £10-£15 I shoud think.

Those trousers are very nice-I've never shopped in coast do they make quite long legged trousers?

I don't know what I would wear on top. A white cardi?

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:38:08

That is pretty but I feel the v may fall too low iyswim.

missblythe Tue 12-Aug-08 14:38:53

If you went for white trousers,
I'd go for a dark pink cardi/wrap. Something like this:

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:41:22

yes I think that would go nicely missyblythe.

So what shoes/bag/jewellery do I wear?

missblythe Tue 12-Aug-08 14:41:24

No idea how long Coast trousers are, I'm afraid, but apparently Coast customer services are v. helpful, so you could ring them and ask.

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:48:52

I will try.

missblythe Tue 12-Aug-08 14:49:22

Something along these lines?

And some gold jewelerry? A gold cuff bangle and a fairly chunk necklace

staryeyed Tue 12-Aug-08 14:53:17

The second sandals are ok but look like they may rub.

Not sure about the clutch bag.
