Hello everyone, old and new.

This is about feeling better about yourself and looking and feeling better etc. But mainly we chat and laugh quite a lot, which has all got to help towards happiness etc.

The rules (anyone can join):

  • Sunscreen at all times - REALLY mean this now summer is here.

  • No or little booze. Wine or Champagne or whatever at the weekend is allowed if you want it

  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can

  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day

  • Apply body cream as often as possible

  • Use hand cream

  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos

  • Eat healthily

  • Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Some people are doing India and Neris's Idiot Proof Diet (Atkins, more or less), others are doing Slimy World, others are just being as healthy as possible.

Welcome everyone, have a good week.

Hi Tigermoth, sorry you haven't been feeling great, loads of us have had it on this thread, sympathy. Hope the van is more easily repaired than you think.

Ts, that sounds like a good day.

Sobernow, omg, sympathy at both FIL house clear out and fascinating cousin, hope it was bearable!

Big Mac {shock}

I keep intending to join you on this, WWW, but have a serious Kir addiction at the moment and need to get over this first.

at Big Mac - but sometimes it's just what's needed isn't it!

Thanks for new thread, WWW.

I must confess a penchant for the McD's breakfast menu - a sausage and egg muffin has been known to find its way to me several times over the last few weeks. I think the odd McD, as part of a healthy diet blah blah blah.....perhaps they'd give me a job ? On second thoughts, perhaps I'm better off in the one I've got, esp as I am off tomorrow.

Sympathies, Sobernow, it's very hard sorting out after someone has died. I think you should let yourself have whatever you need food and drink wise until things are a bit more sorted. Thinking of you.

Tigermoth, sorry about your tummy, have you tried acidophilus (probiotics in tablet form)? Might help to settle things a bit.

Tshell, hair sounds great. I am a bit fan of Liz Earle's moisturiser for my face, though I will put any old rubbish on my hands. Clarins hand treatment is great, but too pricey for everyday for me sadly. Cant' beat flexitol for the feet. Just don't think aout the ingredients.

Hope you are all doing well. Happy week, everyone.

Good - water, moisturiser & SPF, hands & feet, lots of fruit, happy, long dog walk and I went running today, only a mile to ease myself back in but feel sooo much better!

Bad - Well obviously I've failed the early night (again). And like www, I've had Big Mac and fries and coke.

sobernow - enjoy your 'break' at work tomorrow. House clearance is tough going (though my uncles house was absolutely fascinating and thus it took my sister and I several weeks to sort it out) !!!

Hello everyone.

Remind me again, what's this bootcamp all about? . Have been seriously crap.

It's baby rebel's birthday tomorrow, so little chance to redeem myself. OMG all three boys are in double figures, how'd that happen?

Not unhappy though, apart from bootcamp issues. Hols are going well, even though work was hellish chaotic last week.

hello
as you know I care very little about anyone else but like to use this thread to talk about ME so here goes:
I went out on Saturday and drank 2 bottles of wine and had beans and a pudding and now I feel SOILED and FILTHY and GROTESQUE.
Still a size 10 jeans though so mustn't grumble.

However I see that WWW had a croissant so she may as well have burned herself at the stake, she's going to find that croissant on her arse in a couple of days, mark my words.

I'm not even going to mention the other wheat based profanities, She knows she's going to hell

I marinated feta in lovely things today and crumbled it over my fennel and cabbage soup. Can you see me ascend to Heaven in manner of Crivelli Seraphim?

Oh no www - what a pain. Fingers/toes/everything crossed that something closer comes up soon.

Me today; Sesame/Pumpkin oatcake, carrots, grapes, strawberries. Not sure what tea will be, maybe pasta in tomato sauce. Have gone through all my clothes and most of them now fit well and look ok, a few still a bit snug, but my wardrobe has suddenly expanded as I have definitely lost some weight and jumpers that were a bit TOO snug round the middle are now hanging properly.

Hope you get something sorted www.

So, we had croissants for breakfast, a picnic lunch at Markeaton Park (in Derbys) and an indoor BBQ and birthday cake (poor DS3, he so wanted a bbq, and it started raining just as we were driving home).

Still drank plenty of water and had a modicum of exercise wandering around the park. Won't be up too late either, because of work.

Crossing fingers for you www

Yesterday took DCs to visit my mother, so dutiful trip of the holiday now completed.

Ate toast & marmite, ham salad, 3 jaffa cakes, strawberries, raw carrots, lasagne, green salad, apple. Lots of water.

Moisturised hands & feet last night, feet are looking pretty good.

Tennis camp for DD1 today, the rest of us have a long list of chores that have been mounting up over the past week or so. And it's very, very wet.

Morning everyone

Back from two weeks' holiday and two weeks' wretched cold/cough/sinusitis and post-burglary insomnia.

Relieved to be home, now got to think about moving in a fortnight's time.

Didn't eat particularly well, but at least haven't gained any weight. Antibiotics are making me sick.

Puppy seems to have doubled in size, dd has grown about 6 inches.

Going to rootle around Mumsnet for house-moving tips and institute a Tyranny of Positive Thinking

Hello all, day off bootcamp for me, as it is my birthday, so am planning a Chinese takeaway this evening, with wine. But I have been really good the last few weeks, so one day won't kill me!
