okay, so you can see my hair and give me advice on what to do with it. That's me in the pink.

Following on from other thread - going out tonight, no time to wash or blowdry, hair is a birdsnest at present, bundled up into a bun. what can I do with it tonight to make the dirt & scuzz factor work for me.

Thanks loads!

Surely if you can be on the PC you can straighten your hair?

Why does having babies mean you cannot wash and dry your hair. Make sure they are in a secure space and then get on with it.

Depends on how helpful your children are. My DS is 22 months and likes nothing better than plugging and unplugging electrical items, which makes hair-drying a challenge.

i would have to find a way to keep them safe and get a shower. cant imagine going out with unwashed hair.

Don't your children have a nap stargazing? If I'm going out I do all that when DS is asleep in the afternoon.

I'd wash it. I love clean hair, sleek, shiny and light.

But if you really can't..........its beautifully long.........I'd loosely french plait it. Plaits are very in the moment.

sigh.

Not that I understand why I have to justify myself, MsDemeanor, but I have 'time' to be on the PC because I am bfing my baby and typing one-handed.

Older dc is sleeping at mo but due to wake up any second. By which time baby will be asleep.

Yes, ideally they would sleep at same time and give me some 'me time' but that doesn't happen.

I don't have straighteners and I will not leave them unattended while I mince around in the shower.

Thanks frumpy. I'll try a french plait. Never done it before, is it difficult?

you've got lovely hair!

how about a lowish ponytail with hair side parted - you could take a bit of hair from underneath and wrap around the hair band for a very sleek look.

have fun!

im sorry but i dont understand why having two babies stops you from washing your hair either.
Just make sure theyre safe, even if theyre both awake, even keep them in the bathroom with you with some toys on the floor (i used to with ds).
Then sit them in the bedroom with you whilst you dry it, hey presto

Blimey, that's a bit snappy! YOu mentioned straightening on the other thread, hence my obviously weirdo assumption that you had straighteners. And I thought that if you could go on teh PC you could use them with the baby next to you. But whatever.

Your hair looks lovely, and speaking as someone who doesn't always get hers washed even with one dd i understand!!!

(just jealous you're going out!)

like traceybath's idea

or high, loose ponytail, sorted of "piled up" with bits coming down?

Wash your hair in the sink if you have to. How does a single parent ever get a wash?

My Dh worked 12-13 hours a day when mine were small I still had a shower every morning. put baby in bounchy chair or similar either in or just outside bathroom and be quick. Surely only takes 5 mins to wash hair?

Sorry, but I'd be really miserable going out with unwashed hair.

You have fab hair.
If it is a tad greasy shake some talc in - leave for a while then brush out. Can dull it a bit but mucho easier to style as it has more 'grip' IYSWIM. Could do a bit of a back-combed bee-hive fringe and low pony-tail stylee maybe? Don't go to Ms Winehouse's extreme though

What about a high ponytail? You're very pretty

You are extremely pretty (if a bit snappy!) so I'm sure you will look lovely whatever you do with it. Don't get too hungover.
