Best shops for nice jeans (not too expensive)

Title says it all really - need to get some new jeans but not sure which shops to look in. Since ds3 (6 months) is not the happiest of shoppers can't spend too much time shopping around so any hints would be great.

New Look Hula's dark rinse - bootcut. £10 & Fab

Dorothy perkins have good range of styles, good range of sizes, usually well organised (cos it's a nghtmare if all the dark-rinse skinnys and bootcuts are jumbled up!) and between £15 - £25.

Alternativly, asda have some great ones at the mo.

I like the Per Una ranges.
I am currently wearing the straight legged 'Roma' ones in a nice dark denim.
The range is fairly straightforward to get your head round for non-fashionistas like myself, lol!
They are £25, but 2 pairs lasts me the year.

Uniqlo have lots, and they're meant to be the best. Not pricey. I have some Dotty P ones I like.

Oooh, I though per una ones would be much more than that nicky! I might check them out next time i'm in m&s...

Oooh, that sounds quite tempting.

I was in Uniqlo today but didn't look at jeans, was on a mission for shorts, and various gifts. DS1 picked out a skirt for me, though.

Oasis for me! Lots of different styles, all really flattering. Think they are around the GBP40 mark though....

Oasis or River Island are both good for me. Also French Connection but they are really pricey I jus shop in the sale.

I get diesel jeans online from M and M sports - about £45. I tried some on in Selfridges first to find out what size I was. People comment on them as they have a really flattering cut and make my legs look longer.

Gap LOng and Lean (make arse and thighs look great!) around £40/£50 or

Top shop. Skinny flare. Also v flattering. around £30 I think.

I am pear shaped and a size 12 bottom, and these both look good on me.

Topshop do pretty good descriptions of each style so you know what you are picking up. Good variety of lengths and styles imo.

I reckon £40 - £50 is verging on 'too expensive' - unless notquite's view of expesive is very different from mine of course!

River Island is the mecca for jeans.

i think new look are good tho the waist can be a bit gappy

they do last for ages tho and are dead cheap

I swear by New Look for mine but I think it depends on your shape. I tried on about 7 different pairs in Next one day and they all looked awful!!

Report
zippitippitoes · 03/08/2008 17:28

next are bigger and too big on the thighs so they rumple up and give me balls

it does depend on your shape

fishie · 03/08/2008 17:40

yes, bootcut make my thighs look fat. i need slim or straight leg (apple shape). uniqlo.

I like the Jane Norman ones at the moment, although I have to go up a size & the short really aren't short at all.

However I seem to get each new pair from a different place! Last time it was Dorothy Perkins.

Fimbo - do the New Look Jeans come up small or normal? A 14 in Next fit me perfectly, would a 14 in New Look be ok do you reckon?
