we really are not doing the 'wedding thing' just going to the registry office, no guests, lunch afterwards

I really want to wear just a sweet summer tea dress kind of thing so what do you think of this 9551&storeId=12556&categoryId=96918&parent_category_rn=42344&productId=743474&langId=-1

not sure on shoes yet, or if anyone has seen any other nice little summer dresses around please link

thanks smile

And Congratulations smile

georgimama Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:04

If you're a size 8 with small norks and long legs envy then you could wear a sack cloth and look fab. That dress is very pretty. Congrats!!

PeaMcLean Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:13

With that body you could wear a sack and look fab. Great frock. have a lovely time smile

onepieceoflollipop Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:16

Beautiful. Have a fab day.

oi Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:23

are you quite slim? I think the only danger with dresses like that is that they can make you look a bit preggers.

Bowddee Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:31

Very pretty. Go for it.

PeaMcLean Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:43

snap! grin

oi Fri 01-Aug-08 21:43:53

oh good good

saw 12 posts and thought oh god they hate it

DP said you can't only spend £30 on a wedding dress, but I love it

Kimi Fri 01-Aug-08 21:50:48

Lovely dress, but we all hate you for being a size 8 with long legs grin
Have a wonderful day xx

Lizzylou Fri 01-Aug-08 21:53:02

I really like it. We're doing the exact same thing in a couple of weeks and I have literally no idea what I'm wearing so I'm v impressed that you have actually chosen something so nice and bargainous. At this rate, I'm going to end up wearing jeans.

gigglewitch Fri 01-Aug-08 21:55:22

it is lovely.

you asked for ideas too (even though i think the one you have picked is really perfect)
take a look here - saw it the other day in RL in the shop and it looked gorgeous. and this and this in oasis.

so now you can go back to the original one and grin

Gorgeous dress!

You will look stunning! You could spend a little extra on fab sandals and underwear.

zippitippitoes Fri 01-Aug-08 21:57:19

katz Fri 01-Aug-08 21:58:45

very pretty dress

was in monsoon on thursday and they had a couple of nice white sundresses, mostly size 8 in their sale. might be worth a look if you have one local.

sherby Fri 01-Aug-08 21:58:48

ohh i'm like this now grin

will look at links in a mo, eating dinner

gigglewitch Fri 01-Aug-08 22:09:16

yes katz i got one of those in Monsoon y'day (am also size 8) but now can't find any on the website hmm. if you have a branch handy it might be worth a look. Also bargain territory, mine cost £27.50 grin even tho it was marked at £40 grin grin

katz Fri 01-Aug-08 22:13:40

gigglewitch - there were some lovely dresses, the sale twas depressing for me - i was looking for size 14's none of those to had, though i just wanted a nice dress for my hols.

sherby Fri 01-Aug-08 22:15:09

frigging hell size 8 sold OUT

Pannacotta Fri 01-Aug-08 22:16:24

If your DP is appy for you to spend more why not splash out on some gorgeous accessories, say a lovely necklace, shoes and bag?
