Ok.

Firstly [gleeful] let's think about what the conformist look will be.

I vote for:

  1. summer dress, court shoes, string of pearls.

  2. Dreadful A-line skirts, sensible blouse type thing, jacket.

  3. Linen trousers Boden look.

Hotpants, boobtube (spangly of course), high stilettos-impossible to walk on grass, too much make-up, big hair.

In a nut-shell; Liz MacDonald.

No, disagree.

I think they will be the frumpy end of respectable summer garden party look.

Therefore, you need to do GLAMOUROUS. Not tarty. Sleek, lots of leg, understated.

To make them sweat a little in their striped blouses.

Black shorts, black well-fitted shirt, good shoes, sunglasses and attitude.

OMG.

I've just dressed you as Rizzo from Grease.

lol.

She IS my style icon actually.

Don't get pregnant though.

I BLARDY LOVE canapes.

One of my finer moments was being in charge of the canape list for a drinks reception at work when I was seven months pregnant.

There was absolutely loads of stuff and the huge majority of it was deep fried.

To take it seriously, you will need either a shift dress or an elasticated waistband.

Will it be dull?

Perhaps you could introduce dancing at some point? Push someone over into a rose bush and say it was a mistake?

I always want to do that. Or just start kicking someone for no reason.

I know, I know
A flasher mac.
That is all.
The other husbands will love you, the wives will hate you, but you won't be lonely.

BTW, How did your family sleep last night?

Or grab a man by his blazer lapels and shake his jacket about and then stop, and say 'I wanted to hear your change jangle'

Or lie on the ground and bark.

Or go up and join a group and just stare at them, like Christina Ricci in The Adams Family.

I am full of semi-violent impulses on these occasions.

YES.

She has it.

Black mac, sunglasses. Pretend you are a spy. Pretend you have an ear piece and are talking to security.

My dad used to pretend he was a spy. Don't know why. When he came to my boarding school - which he didn't do often -he used to pretend he was a spy. That's odd isn't it?
