have I damaged my children for life????

going on from the 'matching' thread, I fear I may have permanently (sp?) damaged my children for life.

I dressed them matching when they were small, and I still buy them matching outfits now (not that they wear them at the same time anymore.....tis just that if I buy yhem clothes, they always prefer whatever it is I bought for the others so I still find I have to buy the same).

am I odd and should I be flamed???

Yikes, mine are probably damaged too - I buy them matching outfits too, not to dress them the same at the same time, but if I find something I like I may as well get 2! And as psycho said, the older one invariably wants what the younger one has (little one doesn't much care yet), so it makes life easier. They almost never wear them at the same time though, although I confess to having dressed them in similar outfits (different colours though) for weddings etc

Not sure that should reassure you But I guess we could send our children to therapy together - might get a group discount!

It's every parent's right to have material in which to embarrass one's children

Be sure you have photos of them in matching clothes. Bring them out for occasions such as their weddings etc...

They're not a boy and girl are they? That would be bad.

missed the thread you are referring to, but my sister (3 yrs older than me) and i used to be dressed in a lot of the same outfits and we used to wear them at the same time. we turned out ok, although i do have a bit of a complex about the fact that i would always get the blue version and my sister the pink version of an outfit - why couldn't i be the girly one for a change?!!

I think you should be banned from the Style and Beauty board straight away.

My sister and i were dressed the same as children and looking at photos i think it looked sweet!

Obviously if you also co-ordinate with your children then thats dangerous territory

My mum bought me and my brothers matching pjs when we were kids. We loved them. I don't see the problem unless a child doesn't like it.

My brother and I always used to wear matching clothes when we were younger. I lost count of the number of people who thought I was a boy!
