look, here. bit of a rubbish photo, but it's gorgeous. now i need some clever dressmaking type to copy it in many different fabrics....

very nice

i like their stuff, in small doses, but am too lardarsed for it myself

pah!

Women's large size equates to a 14.

<<batters wobbles away>>

Am just trying to decide whether to buy the ladies denim dress for the winter????

Fimbo Wed 30-Jul-08 14:34:02

I like the dress but this is just wrong

hoxtonchick Wed 30-Jul-08 14:37:31

will suggest that shirt to dp fimbo wink. he may leave me....

i am no sylph batters . the 14s fit me mostly, a wee bit tight on the bust but that never bothers me!

Countingthegreyhairs Wed 30-Jul-08 15:09:01

I like the idea behind the clothes and some of the fabric combinations are clever ....I've been tempted by that same dress hoxtonchick.... ...but I genuinely can't decide whether T & N clothes are really gorgeous or whether it's really over-priced for what it is and made by someone with seriously limited sewing skills ....

- your dd will (obviously!! smile) look gorgeous in her frock hoxtonc ... but it's just if you look at the over-large neck-lines, the reliance on elastic and the very basic shapes of the whole range... I begin to wonder ...

I'd be v. interested to know what Mrs Badger thinks?

hoxtonchick Wed 30-Jul-08 15:12:39

no, no ctgh, i got the frock for me! the black one (told you it was a crap picture). i think their stuff is excellently priced in the sale. they are going for the innocent look i guess. some of the girls' stuff is sweet but a bit too cutesy.

Fimbo Wed 30-Jul-08 15:15:33

Hc - how long is the dress? I am a 14 but scared it would make me look pregnant.

hoxtonchick Wed 30-Jul-08 15:20:44

<<stands up & twirls>>. it's just below my knee & i'm 5'7ish. don't think it makes me look pg...

Fimbo Wed 30-Jul-08 15:22:30

<<catches train to London to try on HC's frock>>

It annoys me when you pay postal charges and then have to pay again to send something back i.e. Boden. Bought the swishy skirt and it was dire.

hoxtonchick Wed 30-Jul-08 15:23:50

tis a bugger isn't it. think they are quite a small business, the label on the parcel was handwritten . i should send you mine to try!

DrNortherner Wed 30-Jul-08 15:23:57

Stupid photo - your eye is drawn to the kid first.
