reduced from £180 to £54 BARGAIN!

It is beautiful. I now need to go on holiday to Corfu or somewhere else gorgeous to wear it along the beach.

Not sure Wembury over my wetsuit will look the part!

Apparantly its an Original, which means at least there wont be millions of people wearing it either. Only a limited number are made of the Monsoon Originals, not that I care, it is just a great dress, fits perfectly, only one on sale, advertised as half price at £90, twas meant to be!

I have that dress! I bought it in March. I wore it last week to a ball. Luckily I didn't pay £180 for it as my SIL works there and got me 50% discount. I accessorised it with the same colour green accessories as are on the stones on the front of the brown piece around the neck.

Haha Pavlov we obviously have the same taste!

I was thinking that I could just pop down to Morrisons for a few bits wearing it, not too overstated is it? .

SLAL everything is 50% off right now, in ours at least, but some of it is 75% off, in particular evening dresses. I was not meant to even be looking . I told DH on the phone by saying 'hey babe, how are you (i bought a dress) can you come and get me at 4:30pm? he said, did you say just say you bought a dress, OMG not the £180 one! me - sorry babe got to go, boss is here!!!!!

It is even more gorgeous in the flesh as the brown neck part is made of chunky turquoise jewels and brown sparkly sequins.

I said to DH I need to go to a wedding, I might just go hijack one!

Do you like it? Did it flow well? Did you feel like floating? Did people comment?

boys you know, I am not tall at all, I am 5'3'' (and a diddly bit) and it fits me. exactly I am usually an 8, close to 10 these days but not quite for many things and mot clothes are too long for me, esp monsoon, I was fully expecting to have to buy heels and eat a few donuts for a couple of weeks for it to fit...but I have a wide back so that part fits well, and it goes down to just above my foot, so swishes nicely behind me but does not drag. Which means I can get some nice flipflops/sandals with sequins to go with it!

That is how I knew it was meant to be, one only, not my size but fits perfectly and reduced by 75%!!! And I saw it yesterday but could not try it on as I had DD with me being a pain, so went back today at lunch time, you know, just to have a look around , and it was still there!

I had it first! You are such a copyCAT!

It is gorgeous on, loads of people commented. I am 5ft 6in but with high heels it was just the right length, was quite hard to get right colour shoes to look right with it. I ended up with a high peep toe shoe which was a similar colour to the brown neckline, you needed something darker on the foot to balance it out iyswim.

I wore it last week and it was a tight fit around my stomach (with me being pg obviously). I had to leave the ball early because the boning was digging in terrible!

Has your bed been delivered yet!?

SLAL I was thinking, sandals/flipflops - brown with sequins on, and maybe some bangles, bronze, maybe with jewels in, either one or two large chunky ones, or 4-5 thin ones, different shades/colours.

Maybe earings, something dangley and hooped, with tassley things on, you know the ones, but maybe not even earings. Might be too overdone with the neck piece.

pg tomorrow for the bed, she is/I am v excited. And I am in trouble for buying this dress as I got my own way with the bed and mattress then bought the bedding too, far too much money, I have spent next months money and I dont even get paid until Thursday !
DH did say he forgave me as it looked so gorgeous on! Did it look good with bump though, I bed it did, even if you were in pain!!!

I was thinking brown. Funny, the length is right for me, how odd is that?

Earrings look nice, I wore chandelier ones in the same green and the same bead as the beads on the dress (earrings from Accessorise) and loads of indian bangles here which are exactly the right colour greeny/blue.

No I think really big hoops would be perfect. It is really nice I wish I had the figure for it.

Brown flip flops will dress it down but for a really glam night out, a heel looks fab. I got these which look horrible online but are lovely and just the right colour in real life!

Bump not really showing to anyone else just a bit bloated and mine is a size 8 so really can't afford to have an extra inch of weight on me to get into it comfortably. I am not an 8 usually but the 10 was huge! Not complaining!

Report
PavlovtheCat · 28/07/2008 22:39

pg how weird, you have the same taste as me! The chandelier ones were the style I was thinking of , could not think of the name of the style! and yes, lots of bangles, I bet you looked stunning! Any piccies?

And how weird that the 10 was too big? I am usually 8, but I had to breathe in the get the side zip done up! Alas not big boobs, but a wide ribcage so it seems!

SLAL I would like to dress it down a little, a otherwise I might not ever get to wear it! Although it is my first wedding anniversary in Sept so can wear it then at least!

I am really small (not so much on bust but a 34C so not large) in the waist and back so the 10 was huge. It is definitely a dress which depends on your back size as the boning is so restrictive.

We could have a Mumsnet meet and wear the same outfit!

You don't have long blonde hair do you? That would be strange!

I am off to bed to dream about wearing my dress strolling along a beach in Corfu, romantically holding hands with DH, perhaps with long drink in one hand, laughing carelessly at everything.

(I shall not be dreaming about DD coming up to me and wiping her snotty ice cream covered hands and face over my dress )

Night! By the way, be careful wearing, I got a hole along the hem in mine, very delicate material (nothing to do with the bottle of vodka consumed, honestly)
