I did it, or rather had it done. Almost a week ago. Feeling stupid - how vain can you get? - and uncomfortable but yes, tummy has gone. Has anyone else on here done it?

I am thinking about it but probably should have another baby before I go under the knife.

Do you know if doctors recommend getting all pregnancies out of the way before a tummy tuck?

Where did you have it done and for how much, if you don't mind me asking?

CoteDAzur - Saw a plastic surgeon about a mole and whilst there asked about kids and tummy tuck and he said to definitely have your children before surgery or you could end up with stretch marks from pubic bone to breasts!

I had a tummy tuck as I felt I'd never meet a man with such an unsightly abdomen. I was very ill.

I've since gone on to have two children and it wasn't an issue at all.

If I could turn back the clock I wouldn't have it done.

When I had my breast implants I asked the surgeon the same and he said make sure I'm done with having more babies before having a tummy tuck. It will only stretch leaving you with bad markings. That was 10 years ago. Since then I've had fat freezing to get rid of my baby belly and sides then I had a course of skin tightening at a place on harley st (corium). Very happy. Still need to eat well and exercise though.

Hey Tumgone! I am in hospital now! Had surgery yesterday at 4pm! I don't think it's just vanity?? It's way more than that! If your rectus is split then it can effect your core strength and your back and this is even worse in old age!! I am a very keen runner/triathlete (I'm 41) and really wanted to be strong in my core to be able to race in the future as competitively as possible with a strong core! Also because I am slim everywhere else it exccentuates my tummy and makes me look 4/5 mths pregnant. My youngest of 3 is 16 mths now! I have been asked several times if I'm having another one and it does effect me and my confidence! Who does want to look pregnant for the rest of their lives! I definitely didn't want a size 14 waist on a size 8 body, I looked weird! Photos before attached! Happy to share after photos once I get bandage off! I'm in a lot of pain torso just generally but more near belly button, can't stand up straight and cannot pee. I have drunk a liter and half in last few hours and 2 cups coffee but the muscles won't work for me! Maybe I will have to have a catheter. The pain is better today than last night. If anyone has any questions then feel free to fire away!!
