Ahem.. hair removal

Can I ask how you ladies carry out your intimate hair removal?

I dare not shave as it get so itchy!

I used to wax years ago, but the prices have gone crazy!

I'm thinking about trying hair removal cream. Does anyone else use this and how do you get on with it?

Any shaving tips to stop the itch

Are there any other options I've missed?

I got my bikini line+full legs+underarms lasered years ago, best investment ever. For the rest, I wax every 2-3 months (been doing it for years, so that's as often as I need to go)

I had my bikini line waxed for years. I had laser treatment on it a few years ago but some of it has come back so I now use hair removal cream.
It's fine - it's cheap and smells a bit, but it's quick and does the job.

I used to shave sometimes but like you I couldn't stand the itching (and hated the look / feel of stubble). Not sure about creams. Just putting forward an option that many people seem to completely overlook

I find the cream ok as long as you want all off. Not sure its that precise if you like a specific style as such!

I epilate, yes it hurts but you get used to it!

The cream is fine if you can find one of the 3-6 minute ones. The 5-10 minutes ones irritate a bit. I use a mesh skin scrubby thing afterwards to prevent ingrown hairs.

I use a cream from the company WooWoo, it is safe to use all over your front and back areas and doesn't smell too bad either.

Epilation? Painful at first but quite effective on my lower legs. I can't imagine doing more sensitive areas but I know some do :)

Cleancut shaver and some kind of treatment that includes salicylic acid afterwards

Sugar paste instead of wax works great for me. If I have to shave then either fur oil, femfresh balm or nivea sensitive shave balm stop any redness or itching.

I shave with an electric shaver if feeling lazy but usually use a cream but like a pp says it's more difficult to pick how much you want to leave

£22! In my area that would cost £30-40. It's one of the reasons I don't get waxed. My hair grows quite quickly and I can't justify spending £40 to get rid of my pubes every month.

Electronic shaver! Right down to the wood, not not like bald but very short. Use a razor to shave the side bits.

Bought the Braun IPL machine. It changed my life! After years of thick, itchy ingrown hair after shaving/waxing/epilating I’m now pretty much entirely hair free. I wish I’d got it sooner.

I pluck the bikini line and shave the rest. But shave down not up! It won't be a close shave but it won't be a jungle that way it's not itchy

I've got a Philips Lumea IPL recently and done my legs which are now completely hair free. I don't dare do my bits!! Did you do the whole lot? How do you get right underneath?!

I have it waxed every three weeks, along with legs and underarms. I just can't bear the hair and made the mistake of shaving during lockdown - the itch was out of this world irritating!

Can you find a cheaper waxer? I was going to a lady I didn't like very much and she didn't do a good enough job, then I switched because she got too expensive. I now go to a local Eastern European salon and its not only much better but its half the price and she gets everything off!

I’ve been a bald eagle(!) since my late teens. Early 40s now. I’ve jumped between shaving and waxing. For the latter l hate the regrowth period.

For shaving, l find there is no itching if l go for a quick daily whizz over with a Venus Raspberry razor but instead of creams and gels, use a good quality hair conditioner. That way the razor glides, and, for me, no itching.

How do you deal with ingrown hairs when waxing? I’ve tried it but get long-lasting red/brown spots, looks awful!
