What do we think the worst drawer of disappointment is so far? The red eye liner? The Avant hand cream?

I’m really struggling with which one I want this year. I do love a beauty advent and I’m lucky to be able to get one around the £200 mark.

Last year the Space NK was a dream one and the best I’ve ever had but this years contents are giving me deja vu. There is nothing that is getting me really excited whereas last year there were several products I had been waiting to try!

So yes, not really sure about this year!

I would say that this a close competition between Net a Porter and their pink stone, Holland and Barrett and their mini facial roller, and ASOS and their glittery hair scrunchie that resembles a Brillo pad.

Think H&B just clinch it with their facial roller offering though. Who doesn't need one if those cluttering up their bathroom?

I too have a 2019 mini H&B made facial roller that has zero purpose, not even around the house.
Also 2020 Advent Body Shop bath lily puff thing and weird hair grips and bobbles that not even my friend's small child wanted.
@dottyaboutstripes go for it, there was nothing in last year's Rituals for me that was a dud and this year's looks exciting too.

The Look Fantastic Avant hand cream is a total piss-take. It’s the ‘highest price’ item by £52. They’ve used that made up brand with its made up prices as the star of the calendar.

Why on earth do they think that their customers now want another one? Do they have an expiry date?

I think this is very much about palming off tat that they can't sell.

I agree Rituals is great, the only reason I’m not getting it this year is that I’ve still got half the stuff from last year (have really liked everything I’ve used). Next year it will all be gone and I’ll get another one.

Top drawer of disappointment for me was a ten day supply of ‘hair vitamins’. I think that was either CB or Space NK. They can get in the sea.

I like my jade roller. My perimenopausal self finds a good face roll quite soothing. BUT I only need one. I think Cosmetopia nailed it on a video I watched last year re products that people really don’t need over and over, especially when they are low value. I am grateful however that I’ve never got one of those pointless stones.

Also as an old gimmer who wouldn’t know how to highlight to save her life, all the various tools associated with highlighting are drawers of major disappointment for me. But I do accept that they are welcome for others

Ah yes, highlighters, eyeliners and eyeshadow pallets are all drawers on of disappointment for me. I rarely put anything on eyes other than mascara. I know some people enjoy these things though.
