What products have you tried and what difference did it actually make

Didn't do anything for me.

I don't think it had any lasting effect .

Complete waste of money

It did nothing. Would never waste that amount of money again.

Useless for me.

The condition of your hair comes from the inside out. Nothing you slap on it will make much of a difference.

It works for me. My hairdresser noticed less damage with Olaplex 3 and Olaplex 6 definitely keeps frizzy hair under control. I love it.

Biggest waste of money I've ever spent.

None. I was so fed up with my hairdressers big pressurised hard sell of the stuff I haven’t booked a follow up appointment.
The free sample she put on my hair did nothing. I then had an hour while she cut and dried it of her going on and on about how my hair desperately needs it.

I love it, my hair is very glossy and silky afterwards. I do have really good condition long hair so maybe this helps? Definitely notice the difference from usual conditioners.

I think the keratin treatments are so much better, they really are the only thing that stop the frizz on my hair. I buy it from Amazon and do it myself, if you do it religiously every 4 months, your hair condition improves dramatically as it needs less heat styling and less interfering with!

Would you mind sharing which you have been successful with? Much appreciated x

It's massively improved my hair!

It’s amazing stuff if used correctly. It reduces bleach damage hugely. However, I’m not so fussed on the stuff they sell to use at home.

I use this shampoo and conditioner. It's made a world of difference and no I wouldn't use anything else.

I have innolux treatment when I get my hair bleached - definitely helps maintain the condition of my hair. So soft, shiney and definitely not frazzled.

I leave Olaplex 3 on overnight and it definitely makes a difference, 20 mins or so wouldn't. I also buy it online, not from the hairdressers, so it's not as expensive.

Olaplex 6 works

@Rina66 which one do you use? Thank you

I'd probably buy 6 again but wouldn't bother with 3 or the shampoo and conditioner.

6 smooths my hair better than anything else I've used before and I can see a difference. Hair is much less frizzy and feels nicer.

The rest I wouldn't bother with as I didn't see much of a difference.

I usually do keratin treatments, but have noticed recently that my hair is looking a little distressed so I’m taking a break from it. I’ve been using Olaplex and liking the results so far.

Yes! It’s the only thing that saved my hair during lockdown last year. Normally have horrendous split ends and I hardly had any. It also kept growing when it normally stops because of the split ends.

I would really recommend getting 1&2 done in a salon then religiously use 3 on a weekly basis. It will not make your hair silky smooth, which I think a lot of people expect but it strengthens it so much.

I also really rate 6 for that silky soft feeling. For such an olaplex lover, I really didn’t rate the shampoo and conditioner - I use my own of those (but still good quality). I really think spending money on your hair is (annoyingly) worth it.

Is olaplex worth the hype?

It’s excellent. I use Olaplexes 0 and 3. Once a month I saturate hair with 0 and then fifteen minutes later slick on a thorough coating of 3. Plastic bag on head and leave on for the rest of the day, It works miracles on dry ends that has old bleach damage with dark dye over.

I used 3 on it’s own and didn’t rate it that much, but then saw on Instagram to mix it with 0, and it’s made a big difference - my hair is much less frizzy & really shiny & healthy looking. My hairdresser didn’t known I’d been using it and commented on what good condition it was in.
