Going for the chop today

I have fine dull lifeless hair... I have posted on here before asking for ideas of what I can do with my hair. I'm booked in today... and I think I'm going to go short(er).

Pics of my hair. Second pic is what id love, but don't think my hair is thick enough to carry this off.

Any ideas?

Do it! My very thin, fine, mousy, shoulder-length hair was really getting me down. A few weeks ago I had it cut pretty much exactly as in your second picture and had some highlights put in the top. I feel like a different person and I've never had so many compliments about my hair before! People said it took years off me (I'm 49 and generally looi a bit younger than my age anyway). Even when I don't bother blow-drying it (too hot sometimes atm!) it still looks pretty good!

P.s. That photo is actually one of the ones I showed the hairdresser when telling her what I wanted. Grin

Following because I have fine, lifeless hair and I've not yet found a style that I'm happy with!

I'll do a photo in a bit - I haven't got any decent ones. I'm currently unwashed with a mud mask on my face. Good for anonymity, but not good for convincing you to emulate my look. Having a shower in a minute!

Go for it! I’ve had short pixies for years, longest i’ve grown it is ear length and back to short again.

The picture youve posted is the length i’m aiming for. You’ll definitely suit it and I bet your hair will look thicker when it’s shorter.

Cant wait to see the update pic!

I don't care what it's supposedly named as. I have seen the other thread running on this. It's not the same haircut, and even if it was, I'm not fussed. But thank you.

Stop helping perpetuate sexist, agist stereotypes.

Here's mine OP. It was limp and droopy before. Hope I don't look like I'm about to call the manager Hmm

I think your hair is perfect actually OP, too tick and this could look very chunky and harsh.

Love your hair @lazylinguist Smile

And quite frankly, if women have cause to speak to the manager they have every right to - regardless of their hair type. Sexist stereotyping designed to shut women up is so tiresome - it has no place anywhere in 2021, least of all a predominantly female online space.

I actually really love it!
So much so I might get mine done like that.
My only fear is I have very fine, soft hair and would struggle to get that bounce, ending up with short hair tucked behind my ears 😱

No idea what a Karen haircut is, but you know what? Hair grows and if you like it then who cares what others call it.

Plus my hair is mid length and I’ve complained plenty of times Angry

This is my concern too.... I have a babyliss big hairdryer which I think I will have to use to obtain this shape.

Or I will just chicken out altogether Grin
