Best deodorant for dryness & smell?

TomAllenWife · 20/07/2021 23:29

So last week I bought a Sure Max Strength stick, it's shit, I'm not dry and I smell worse than I would with normal deodorant

Usually use a sanex roll on or sure invisible spray

Anyone got any great suggestions please?

Mitchum. You need a Michum roll on for the morning, then a Mitchum spray as a booster in the afternoon if it's particularly sweaty weather. I use the unfragranced one and I don't whiff.

I was going to suggest Sure maximum protection, the cream. Absolutely brilliant for me. Weird how some things work and not for others. I might as well not use anything when I use Mitchum.

I always use men's deodorant, it's cheaper more effective. Right guard do max heat protection and an air conditioning one. Never looked back

Mitchum. The unscented works best for me.

I use mitchum too- for years. They have their roll on, regular range. If that is no good, they have a cream stick and then another one, sold in a box. I assume (might be wrong) that the cream stick in the box is their strongest one.

Another recommendation for mitchum. I use the spray, never found anything better. My mum recommended it to me over 15yrs ago and i've never looked back.

Mitchum stick or sanex

The Mitchum roll on doesn’t last for me. I think men’s might be the way forward!

There are some really strong ones, Odoban is the extremely good but can be a faff to apply.

And wash pits with bar soap not shower gel. It makes a big difference

Use glycolic acid works brilliantly, just the regular one you buy for your face, Pixie or even the Aldi version.

Another vote for Mitchum. Nothing else was working well.

My body seems to get used to a brand and it stops working.

So, in winter, I use something like Sure.

When the weather becomes warmer and I can sense the smell of sweat I change to Mitchum.

When Mitchum stops working I use Triple Dry.

Then it’s usually back to Sure in the autumn.

Clinique roll on for men. £15 a bottle but it lasts a good few months. It's the only one that works out of all of them.

Mitchum men, the cream one. Use it at night

Dove maximum protection stick, put it on in the evening (still works even if you shower in the morning). Then mitchum stick in the morning as a top up (and because I love the smell!) The sure one is similar to the dove so it might work better if you apply overnight too? I used to have to use driclor until I discovered the dove, hated driclor but it was very effective.

Why doesn't Mitchum work for me?!

I sweat more and I stink. Might as well use a wheel of Gorgonzola ffs.
