Thanks for the new thread @Countmeout

Also grateful for the sale search tip….I got a striped linen jumper in M. It’s last year’s, I tried the S in last summer’s JL sale but the sleeves were too tight so I’m hopeful the M will be okay.

Thanks for the new thread Countmeout
I did a search on 'new' just now... Some nice stuff .. especially like some of the new bags.. ( remembers she has too many bags already 🤭)

Laska2Meryls Fri 09-Jul-21 09:28:01

Countmeout Fri 09-Jul-21 09:30:42

Just checking in!

ScottishMouse Fri 09-Jul-21 11:46:05

Thanks for the tip on finding the new things, whoever that was (sorry can’t remember!). Some lovely things indeed! Have some free time this afternoon so might pop to my local Toast to return the jackets I ordered and have a good nosy at any new stuff. Will report back.

Theteapotsbrokenspout Fri 09-Jul-21 13:21:40

Just got back into Toast after a break of a few years but I’m struggling with the sizing.
I’ve bought the Ashley long crop in a 12 which are loose but not uncomfortably so, but the Gabi pull on are driving me nuts.
Everything about the Gabi seems fine apart from being very long in the waist (or I’m very short in the waist) which means they hang down in the crotch. I’m thinking a smaller size, but then they might be too tight on the waist, really frustrating as I love the material and they feel really nice.
Anyone else have these and finding this problem?

TheChattyRat Fri 09-Jul-21 14:32:06

theteapotsbrpkenspout I have the long crotch issue with jumpsuits. I think toast cut for long bodies.a
As I enjoy seeing toast on 'real people' here are some of me in sale purchases: the placed check dress and cotton gingham dress. Not keen on the check dress on me as I think the top is too blouson-like. The gingham dress is v comfy but not very flattering!
Have 3 more things to come blush
Looking forward to the new video but I am starting to feel my wardrobe is a bit toast heavy - another blush

Countmeout Fri 09-Jul-21 16:03:03

I don’t have the crotch issue @Theteapotsbrokenspout. However I sized down. Not sure if that is why.
I like the gingham dress @TheChattyRat. I ordered it when it popped up in what might be my size last night.
Just back in - any sign of the video?
Look forward to hearing from you after your shopping trip @ScottishMouse

Don’t feel bad @TheChattyRat I have about 15 things to come! If anyone wants info about particular items, please ask me. I’ve probably ordered it!

Just watched the video. Slightly underwhelmed if I’m honest. I like the hemp jumpsuit, trousers (they were the ones I saw the other day) and jacket, but otherwise I would walk past much of it.
Popped into the shop in Edinburgh a while ago. Did my returns, but there wasn’t a lot of new stock in yet. They said it would arrive later today or Monday. I was hoping to see the hemp jacket, but they didn’t have it. The check dress featured in the styling video is lovely, but not my colours. I did notice the new Kitty clogs too which are super cute, although I cannot walk in clogs so no good for me personally. I was up for making a purchase given that I had returned everything else bought recently, but there was nothing that jumped out enough to even try on. Maybe when they get the rest of the stock in.

Also, can’t remember who it was that recommended Treen in Edinburgh, but thanks! Popped in there today too - lovely friendly staff, lovely things, and a sale. Have my eye on a cute jacket by a brand called Skall that I had never heard of.

Theteapotsbrokenspout Fri 09-Jul-21 16:17:14

I like the gingham dress @TheChattyRat , I think it will look fine once you’ve styled it. Not so keen on the check dress though.
Think I’ll try a 10 in the Gabi just to see.

Other than the gorgeous floral Aster dress nothing else really took my fancy.
Stunning dress , beautiful print and cut and its cotton poplin.
Much better than the horrible floppy viscose of late.
Really did not like the outfit with the hat and as usual the socks.
I have spotted a lovely denim wrap skirt in the new in section so Im glad I didnt go for the panelled skirt in the end.
I love Autumn/ Winter dressing and am totally over the sales so excited to see what else they have coming up.

neveradullmoment99 Fri 09-Jul-21 16:53:15

OMG the outfit with the hat was ridiculous! That poor woman wearing that. seriously looked fancy dress.
I actually like the dress she had on but not with the other things. It just looked ridiculous.
Love the skirt in the lady who wore it with the coat dress. Thought she looked fab in it.

neveradullmoment99 Fri 09-Jul-21 16:53:33

The aster dress was stunning.

neveradullmoment99 Fri 09-Jul-21 16:55:09

I agree that the video was underwhelming. I also did miss the last presenter and the two ladies from the other styling videos.
Why on earth did they not show the gorgeous floral red waistcoat she was wearing underneath the casual suit. I am so disappointed. I love it!

neveradullmoment99 Fri 09-Jul-21 16:55:35

Its definitely on my buy list.

Laska2Meryls Fri 09-Jul-21 17:21:46

Please can someone post a link to the new styling conversation? i cant find it ( but I have been drinking home made elderflower champagne this afternoon ! blush hic!)

I liked the pop of red on the skirt and loved how it was styled ( minus the socks for me) I can’t see the wee red scarf on the site. I do like red. But found a pair of socks to match the sale fair isle jumper while poking about. .
I thought the girl who was wearing the padded jacket looked as though she was very petite and everything in that outfit was too big for her (except the hat which looked small).
The denim dress the presenter was wearing was also too oversized for me and too dark a denim. I liked the tank better the way it was styled with the dress someone linked somewhere.
I too missed Nikki. I think I have a girl crush on her and she’s the same height as me.
