So, are we tucking everything in now?

Is this the new fashion? And more importantly, will it help my mum tum?!

I'm not, I'm a slightly overweight apple, it's not flattering on me

I think slim people may be tucking things in (my 17 year old certainly is), but I won’t be Grin

I am NOT tucking doing that !

I don't have the room to tuck anything in on top of my tummy Grin

Oh fuck, are we?

My DF will be delighted, and I'll never hear the end of it now. It's taken me a good 20yrs to get him to stop telling me to tuck my t shirt in. No exaggeration.

I'm an oversight apple. I tuck in. I hate the hakf-tuck (French tuck?) I look like a spanner with a half tuck, like I've forgotten to dress properly..

Now I'm properly confused! Grin

I have these new culottes with a big bow around the waist and so I can't put anything over it, nor do I wish to wear a crop top. So.... I don't think I have a choice!

My slim son tucks his shirt in.

I'd look like fat Simon Cowell. So, no. Denim jackets are back and that'll do me.

I'm slim, but my body is too long for tucked in to look good.

I’ve bought some wide leg high waisted jeans and I tuck tops in. I find it surprisingly flattering

I’m 6ft, with long legs/long bum. When I tuck things in I look SO lanky, like a head on sticks.

God no I’m not tucking anything in. I’m a size 18 and I don’t need to draw attention to my cake shelf.

A half tuck/french tuck is incredibly flattering! I never believed it as I’ve always hidden my big bum with longer tops, but tucking the front part was a game changer and I had people asking if I’d lost weight!!

I'm short so the tuck is better on me. Although not as good as the first time around when I had a 22inch waist Sad

No, can’t we do the french tuck anymore? I’ve only just managed to work out how to do it so I don’t look like a stroppy fifth year.

With the looser fitting jeans/bottoms, you kind of have to or you look baggy all over. Untucked tops were fine with skinnies, it's gone full reverse!

I think it looks great to tuck in with a lovely big circle skirt. Trousers can be a bit less flattering. I like the ones with darts on the waistline though, they make a nice shape, I can pretend people don’t know it’s my belly sticking out and they think it’s just the shape of the trousers.

Haven't tucked in for a while.

Depends on the outfit. For wider leg trousers and looser skirts I tend to wear a top tucked in. It suits me though as I have a defined waist.

I don’t think there’s any ‘we’ really - it always makes me laugh on here when people ask what ‘we’ are all doing now as if we (the users of MN) are some homogenous group… everyone is different and has different styles and shapes so it depends on the outfit and what suits.

Yep it’s been the fashion for ages now. High waisted slim or flare leg trousers/jeans with either crop tops, tops tucked in or a body suit.
I’m a pear/apple shape so I’m definitely not doing that!

No way am I tucking anything in, or wearing a crop top. Ever. I bought some linen shorts with a bow. I removed the bow. You absolutely have a choice. If I couldn't remove the bow I'd be returning the shorts!

I have noticed lots of tucking in going on … but I’ve got a tum whilst pretty slim and I keep untucking every time I try it

I have only just (as in this week) decided I am going to tuck in, after roughly 25 years of not tucking in.
This is because I have lost a load of weight and now think it looks better on me.
Amazing!

I've adopted the full tuck but it makes me feel so damn fancy. I hope I get used to it because it is flattering.

I'm v fat and I tuck in but pull it out a bit like I did in the 80s. Not in jeans though 😱 🤰
