Swimsuit for very slender teenager

My dd is 14. She has only recently started her big grow, so she is five foot two. She is also very slender, and this won’t change much as she grows, as dd1 at 16 is also very slightly built.
Anyway swimsuits are a problem. Until now I have bought her Landsend slim fit ones from the US, but they stop at an age 12, and she is just that bit too tall now and getting taller.
She measures about 29” around her chest, her waist is 22” , and so everything is too wide. She needs it for under a wetsuit so really wants a one piece, in the past she has also found tankinis too loose, they ride up when she swims. She has a bikini that is ok, but doesn’t like it under her wetsuit, she doesn’t have much of a bust yet so the tops ride up.
Any tips for a slender fitting swimsuit? Trousers are also a nightmare !

Both next and Speedo are baggy around her middle. In a bikini i can size down but not in a costume as then they are too short.

Buy from a good racing brand from somewhere like Proswimwear. 22/ 24 should be fine. They are made for athletes and meant to be skin tight.

Second looking at pro swimwear or similar site, they often have ones with tie backs near the waist that will bring in the waist, also should last longer than a normal swim suit if you look after it. You want a training suit not racing and uglies and funkita are good brands.

I will try but she is nowhere near a size 6. She is smaller than a size 4.

She has tried this but the vest is always loose and rucks under her wetsuit, or billows and rides up in the water without a wetsuit.
Since she was tiny I have bought either Landsend slim or Petit Bateau, as they both fitted her nicely. Both stop at an age 10-12. She is still wearing one Petit Bateau suit but it is getting too short in the body.

I was the same shape, and at her age in the 70s I wore a bikini or a speedo. Speedos then were really slim fitting, a different fabric to modern ones. I have bought her two different speedos but both were too short and/or too wide.

I have ordered four different suits from the Proswim website.
I will try Seafolly, thank you. My 16 year old is also five foot six with a 22” -23” waist so that sounds good for her.
Dd2 doesn’t like long sleeves as she can’t easily get her wetsuit over them ( if anyone needs a wetsuit for very slender teens she has an excellently fitting C-Skins women’s size 4) , but I will look at their other swimsuits now.

Leg skins racing swim suits from Arena, Speedo etc are very slim fitting as they are supposed to compress everything for racing. They take ages to get on as they are so tight. You won't find them in normal sports shops you need to look online.

How much of a problem is it that it's a bit baggy round the middle if it's for under a wetsuit? Fwiw dd1 is the same and just wears bikini bottom pants under her wetsuit

The baggy problem is partly because she isn’t always in a wetsuit, it depends on the weather and if she is in the sea or the pool. She also changes on the beach and is self-conscious about how she looks. She won’t wear a bikini in the pool as she worries about the tops riding up or bottoms shifting about.
She is in the water a lot and so likes a simple and speedy one piece for ease of use as well.
If none of these work then I might buy a sturdier ballet leotard as they do fit her.

22/24? Most brands that is about age 5 as it’s the chest measurement size is based on.

My dd is the same o/p. Have a look at some of the measurements- some are longer than others. From memory Head are quite long in the body, as are TYR and funkita. Speedo quite short iIRC.

I got the 30” chest in girls suits. The women’s seem to be by waist, so the 22 there is waist not chest, but there was much more choice in the girls so I am hoping at least one will fit. Can’t remember what brands I chose now, not Speedo anyway.

I’ve had this problem for years with my DDs. I cut the shoulder straps and add a length of elastic, and I have to sew up the leg holes to take a couple of inches out or they flap around revealingly (you can see in the sides) I have also put a dart or two in the back before now. My older dd has filled out a bit so it’s less of problem there but my 9year DD is wearing 5-6 with the above modifications. I’ve changed shoulder styles to halternecks before as well as again, they flap around under the arms so you can see in the sides. We find swimwear massively oversized generally.

Adidas smallest adults size is about your DDs measurements so try that?

Small adult sizes might be better than children's as they tend to have smaller waists. Looking at children sizes she'd be about an age 9 with those measurements but adults more like a 4
