Can you help me find a swimsuit please?

I’m exhausted from constant browsing trying to find a one piece swimsuit that will suit my needs.
I’ve had a mastectomy (one side only), but I don’t want to buy a specialist mastectomy swimsuit for a couple of reasons

  1. You need to wear a swimming prosthesis, and I don’t particularly want to buy one.
  2. They cost £££ and that annoys me!

So I just want a swimsuit that has removable pads. I’m quite small anyway (32B). So I will move the pad from one side and wear them both on the side of the missing boob.

It can’t be cut too low though obviously. Oh and it’s for actual swimming not sunbathing. Anyone noticed any costumes like this around?

Hello I have been on a constant search for the perfect post mastectomy swimwear for years… never quite found the perfect one, have tried expensive specialist suits as well as high street and supermarket. I do tend to go for mastectomy ranges- I’m quite a large cup size and usually find I need the support, but have also done as you suggest with removable pads. The best ones I have found have been post surgery suits from Asda- I once tried on lots of expensive options for a holiday and the Asda suit won hands down and is still just about wearable now, though a little threadbare! For non specialist ones with removable pads I have found White stuff and Fat face have had good coverage and decent lads in the last . I do swim with a normal prosthesis- I just rinse and dry it afterwards ( now have an old one I use just for swimming) I have recently splashed out on a Deakin and Blue costume, which is pricey and am intending to have a cup sewn in but haven’t done that yet. I do hope you find what you need.

Similar problems finding swimsuits here.

Have to say I am well impressed with this one which just arrived. Never thought of looking at Sainsbury’s Tu brand before:

Also this M&S one is functionally totally outstanding in terms of design, fit and support:

The mesh bit does fade readily with the chlorine, but I am so chuffed with the design I will be buying more of these.

Not sure about your mastectomy, but saw this recently and thought how nice it was.

Thanks all I did have a couple from White Stuff when I first had my mastectomy 5 years ago, but they have lost their shape now and look a bit tatty. I will go in there today and ask the staff.

I have one that fits your requirements from asda, I wanted removable pads because I'm larger, but would work for you I think, was cheap too

@motogogo
Thanks I had a quick look in Asda yesterday, but I will look at George online.

I have this M&S one in last years colours, and it is lovely to swim in, and the padding is quite firm. The pad isn't removable, but you can buy them on Amazon and could just stitch one in place as you needed
