CC cream that does it all (I'm not asking for much)

  • Needs SPF
  • Needs to even out skin tone
  • Needs to give a dewy/luminous finish but not an oil slick
  • That is all.

I have tried IT cosmetics CC cream, L'oreal, Laura Mercier, all with varying degrees of success but absolutely nothing revolutionary. PS I am 42 and happy to spend on the 'right' one.

Following as I would love to find a good one too!

I like the Erborian CC cream, which ticks your boxes BUT I think the SPF is virtually worthless - I don't apply anywhere near enough for it to make a difference. It's a nice finish though (very sheer).

Just thought - apparently the No7 hydraluminous foundation is very good, pretty sheer so essentially a CC cream. Might be worth a try? It certainly gets recommended a lot on here.

I use No7 Beautiful Skin BB cream, which IMO is more like a CC cream in terms of coverage. It has SPF but I wouldn't rely on it alone, as a pp said you don't apply enough for it to really work. I use Normal/Dry but there is also Normal/Oily if you are prone to oily skin.

Agree with this. I put it over frezyderm face care spf 50 and it looks nice and dewy

I am loving the LRP one in the pic. Neutral colour and good coverage. I have an oily nose and chin and this makes me look a lot better. It's works in well with fingers as the colour looks darker than I would normally go for. SPF 50 which is great. I tend to find BB creams a little shiny and unsubstantial on my slightly mature skin.

Chanel CC cream is my favourite and it has SPF 50. Clinique CC is quite good too (spf 30 I think).

Erborian definitely

You can get samples of eborian from feel unique on the pick n mix counter.

Tried them all and second the no 7 bb cream - eborian is also nice but not as effective as no 7 version...

Also agree you can’t rely on it for spf though - nowhere near enough to provide protection - you need a factor 50 as last skincare step (I like Mimitika factor 50 under make up - it works really well).

I was also going to say No7 BB cream I use it and find it great and it's essentially a cc cream.

Bare minerals complexion rescue tinted moisturiser. Perhaps not technically a CC cream, but fulfils your criteria. SPF 30 and nice and glowy.

Love hydro luminous by no 7. But I wouldn't say it's light coverage. For cc cream, I think the smashbox one is expensive but worth it.

Vichy mineral blend foundation does all this!

I was going to suggest this too. Depending how much CC you need it might work?

This. But they've discontinued it haven't they? Which is a huge shame.

I use this and it's a light/medium coverage foundation.

Clinique moisture surge CC cream, it's all I've used for years.
Not oily, evens my skin tone, hydrating,
Lasts all day and you can build for coverage if you're not having a good skin day

I don’t think the bare minerals one has been discontinued? It’s still on the website. www.bareminerals.co.uk/new/award-winners/complexion-rescue-tinted-moisturiser/UK92914.html
