Hi I’ve had a sample of this and I love it but was wondering is there much difference in the parfum and the eau de parfum? Thanks

The parfum would be much stronger, but I wouldn't know if there would be a bigger difference. There sometimes is. For example Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire EDT and EDP smell completely different, but usually most brands just do the same perfume with bigger sillage and longevity. If it's your first bottle, start with the eau de parfum. It's powerful stuff!

I heard the difference between the EDT and Parfum is the oils in the bottle.
Parfum tends to last/smell longer as they contain more oil.

@JellyTots2009 That's right, except when they're being awkward like Guerlains LPRN. Parfum is really strong and you only need a dab or two. Eau de parfum is usually strong enough for every day use.

I absolutely love it but I buy the perfume parlour dupe, my hairdresser loves black orchid and he can’t tell the difference between my dupe and the real thing.

Thanks for your replies! Boots have an offer on so I’ll will save on it. There is a difference of €24 between the parfum and eau de parfum so I was wondering is it worth it for the extra money??

Get the perfume. It's stronger and longer lasting. Please don't go for a dupe. They smell naff and fake whatever anyone says!

What kind of smell is Black Orchid? Everyone always talks about how nice it is but I don't know what the notes are?

I would only buy Perfume Parlour as well, the dupes I already have from there are spot on!

Crumble the website Fragrantica shows you the notes in perfumes.
I've just searched for Black Orchid, these are the notes. It is a smell to die for.
