Hello again Toasties !!
Here we are again ..Spring has definitely sprung.. and here we are leaving lockdown again (hopefully for the last time) and with any luck planning some social opportunities to wear our lovely stuff actually out somewhere !! Smile

Thanks for the new thread. Yes I hope the blip is temporary as I love my new Tala and Vine Print dresses. I’m unable to leave feedback at present, which I hope is another blip.

I note a couple of people in the EU having issues with heavy extra charges, what a nightmare.

I have just had answer to my email to Toast sent on 8th April complaining that I hadn't hear about my last order, that they had taken my money!! This is the order I sent back on 12th April ( the day it arrived) and now am waiting for my £165 refund!

Here's what they say:

Thank you for your email.Please accept our apologies for the lack of communication of receiving your order.We have now looked into this and can see that your order was successfully delivered on 12/04. We have checked your account and can confirm that your email address matches, therefore it appears to be an issue on our end. We understand how frustrating this can be and please be assured that we are working on the feedback we have received from customers regarding the new website. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any further queries please let us know.

There are at least a couple of feedback comments about the cost, one lady’s shoe order and another’s dress order. Both were about €100 iirc. The buyers commented that due to this they would not buy from the company again. So sad that business is being lost. Comments also touched on how there would have been costs for returns.
Positives though, I finally bought some of the lovely plimsolls in ecru and they are gorgeous!

Not quite sure really Cherries . I never did get the order confirmation (and mine is a standard BTinternet email address so is hardly something unusual ..)
I said in my email to them that this had only been a problem since the new website, and that they had taken my money over a week previously and I had heard nothing at all .. ! I assume from their email back that they have had lots of complaints..

Yes , Faustina but to be fair , tha'ts not what they were answering..... This is a reply to an email I sent over a week after I ordered and 4 days before I received the order on the 12th.

It is really bad CS though that I have only just received a reply to that original email .. (9 days after sending it to them ) and 4 days after I actually received the item! (and sent it back!)

They have received my return now , (3 days ago ) but I am going to give them a weeks grace to refund before I query it..

What is the fit of the Tala like @Bimblesalong ?
The EU issue is out of Toast’s control though. It must be very annoying. We’d be charged for something coming the opposite way. I used to buy some items for a hobby regularly from Germany and the Netherlands, won’t do it now because of extra charges.

@Countmeout I had to size down. I think it’s a looser fit although it’s hard to tell as there aren’t many pictures of the clothes on women.
I am between 12-14 in dresses abs originally got the 14 - very happy on the underarms. Tbh I would have tried the 10 if I had been in a shop but the 12 is a nice loose fit. Love the fabric and colour. Not worked out how the random pocket on the back will work. Looks like they’ve sewn it on the wrong side but a quirky feature.

I today received a refund on a pair of trousers I sent back 9 days ago, but this was only in response to my query via chat. They did handle the chat query speedily and efficiently though.

Checking in too. I haven't had the pleasure (!) of ordering anything from the new site and I won't be in a hurry to either. I do live only half an hour away from a John Lewis and a Toast shop so I think in general I will stick to using them.

I wore my Annie side button cropped jeans the other day for the first time and although I'm a short arse, plump and quite square shaped in them, I loved them and felt very pleased with them.

I love the Annie side button jeans, they have been well worth the money for me.
I was thinking of ordering the Yana striped linen long shirt. Does anyone have this and could advise on sizing? I really don’t want to have to send it back. I usually take a 10 or small but sometimes have exchanged for an XS in Toast (never in any other shop).

Clearsky I ordered ( and returned) the Yana it came up very big. Its nice, but a bit similar to some I already have ...I think overpriced as well though I would consider reordering in a sale
