Anyone got the foreo bear?

How many times do you use it per day / for how long each session?

The treatment routine on the app runs for about 2 minutes and I’ve been following that every evening. Just wondering whether I should double up each time - ie about 4 minutes overall per session?

I’m using it on the highest setting with pulsation set to ‘on’ (although I’ve no idea what that means - I tried setting pulsation to ‘off’ to see what it did and it seemed to stop it from doing anything at all 😂)

Would appreciate any advice here, thank you.

I have it and love it.

I use it for one full “run” on one side of the face and then again, on the other. I guess that’s 3 mins each side. I use on full strength and with the vibration on.

I use a water spray to keep the gel moist.

Recently became the proud owner of a Foreo Bear precisely because it's a quick treatment.
I use it every morning for about 6 minutes.
No idea if it works because it's impossible to tell. I use it on full strength and it makes the buzzing noise. Sometimes it turns itself off but I don't know why.
I use a generic conductive gel and keep a damp flannel to hand to dab over specific area if I find the gel didn't last all the way through.

I do the regime from the app but for 10 times for each movement. I also do an extra 'line' from highest point if cheekbones upwards toward the temples. And another from between eyebrows like an arch upwards towards the hairline.

I concentrate particularly on the nasobial lines and along the jawline.

Thank you, very useful! I have only used mine with the app and it turns itself on and off according to the timing of the treatment which is only 2 minutes. I can only find that one treatment option as well. How do I set it to ‘manual’ and just do my own, do you know?

I think the timer is a given. Just restart it. I like the timer as I do it first thing in the morning and frankly, I’m half asleep so, the timer tells me “time up”.

I think it’s the best thing I’ve bought in some time. I do think it’s making a difference to skin texture/NL folds.

I mean, I've often felt out of my depth reading style & beauty but in my head I had a kind of hybrid of a forrero rocher and the lindt bunny... Grin

That made me laugh so much, I'll be forever thinking about chocolate when using it 😂

The app doesn't seem to be very useful as it is quite limited. Or maybe I had different expectations and the 2/3minutes might be all that's needed?

I turn it on by just pressing the button then press a few times to get to the highest setting then it usually starts working when it touches the skin.
Perhaps it stops at times because it's only meant to be used 3 minutes at a time.

No idea what it does or if it does anything that's supposed to do as a machine but it's so quick and easy to use that I do hope mine isn't faulty or anything.

That sounds an amazing hybrid, tbf @FreshFaceTime - makes my little micro current facial seem a bit dull now Grin

Right thanks for that, @Branster, I’m going to try just switching on and starting tomorrow, see what happens... I’ve got the idea from the app now, but it just seems slightly short on time.

Any recommendations for the conductive gel? I bought some of the very expensive serum serum serum which is great in that it glides along, but not even sure if that is conductive. Or what the conductive gel brings to the party.

I am hopeful for mine as I was saving up for a Judy Murray jowl lift for my 50th and hope I wont need it now. I really don't mind lines and aging in general but I cannot abide my jowls :(.

Anybody noticed an actual difference yet?

I use the Vichy 89 gel with mine. I do a full 3 mins on each side and about 2 mins on my forehead. Definite lift to my eyebrows, I look much more awake.

Is everyone still happy with it? I'm very tempted because although I have a lot of other gadgets, they all take longer and you need to be in front of a mirror.

I’ve been using mine for just over 2 weeks. Theres a definite improvement to my hooded eyes but the best impact is on my naso folds and jowls, maybe because they weren’t as bad as my eyes to start with?

I use pure aloe vera gel from Superdrug (having spent loads on the bear itself, I wasn't prepared to fork out for the expensive serum stuff Wink).

I think my jowls are a bit less jowly, and my forehead creases a bit less, and a bit of general "tightening up" across my cheeks, but annoyingly I didn't take any before pictures, so I'm having to go on memory and annoying DD by asking "do you think this is making any difference?" every few days Grin.

I've had mine for about 2 weeks and was getting very frustrated with the app initially. There was always a little delay so the device would start buzzing just before the woman on the app began the routine, so I would wait and it would cut out before I'd finished the set of movements. I also found the app rushed through them a bit, which felt kind of stressful. I was really happy when I came back onto MN and discovered how to use it without the app, and now I love it.

I use it for 8 repetitions of each position, and keep thinking I ought to read the instructions to see if there's any guidance on that and why it switches itself off after a certain time (in case it melts your face or something if you do it for too long)

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind me jumping in with a question! I've been looking at this and the Nu Face. Has anyone got experience of both or if not, would you recommend the Bear?
Thanks :)

Similar to @BeforetheFlood, I’ve had mine a few weeks but only recently figured out using it without the app (I had exactly the same issues with the app schedule!) and have also forgotten to take before pics 🤦‍♀️ My face does feel a little tighter though, although still plenty of work to do. I have gone on full attack with my face lately and am also using retinol for the first time too. Skin is much smoother which I think is more down to the retinol, whereas the tightness I think is the bear.

Meant to add I’m using the foreo serum with mine because it came free with the device itself when Look Fantastic had 20% off a while back. It’s a big bottle so still loads left but I think I’ll try aloe gel when it runs out.

I've had this for a week or so and really happy with it. I'm using generic aloe vera gel which seems to work fine. Best thing I've bought in ages.

I use Anagel from Amazon which is a generic conductive gel and it's cheap.
The app routine is a but pants so I sort of make my own.
The only annoying thing is that sometimes it cuts off very quickly and sometimes it doesn't start. No real way if telling when it's On, even though the lights are in, until I hear the buzzing noise I'm mot convinced it works.
In terms of results, once a day, daily use. Clear improvement on upper eye area and the area around the mouth. Jawline or neck no different but although I use it there I don't yet need any changes but I'm hoping it still has a preventative effect.

It does do something to the forehead but in my case it backfired. I had 2 vertical lines in between my eyebrows. The smaller one I cleared and kept away with peptides (I think any would do but No7 laboratories serum works for me) and the longer deeper was improved dramatically in the same way to the extent that I was happy it wasn't obvious.
Well, since using the Bear, the longer one has got back to its original depth and length and what's even worse, it sort of goes up at an angle now. So I'm not using it on my forehead for the time being.
