I've completely given up

One maternity leave and two lockdowns later, I've completely given up. I used to love shopping and took pride in my clothes and appearance. Now I just wear leggings and jumpers. I still do make up and sometimes hair to 'bring up' the , ahem, look. Never been a fan of online shopping which is part of the problem.

I'm going back to work in a couple of weeks (from my spare room) and am clueless as to what I will wear! I want to be comfortable but still look professional over a zoom. What is everyone else wearing?

Levi's, hoodie, mum bun. I'm really senior corporate but just cba anymore. I just don't turn my camera on. If I have to turn camera on then I brush ny hair and put on a slightly smarter jumper.

No one cares anymore!

@TotoroPotoro that's really good to know. I don't know what the expectations are! Maybe I'll treat myself to some fancy lounge wear.

It's definitely more relaxed than it was. I've been having video calls with fairly senior leaders in my own business and in other businesses. If someone has a collar on it's seen as making a big effort, and usually it's only the men. It's totally fine to just wear a jumper with a sensible neckline and leave it at that. Personally I prefer to wear make-up and tidy up my hair, but some others don't bother. You'll find your groove!
Also after maternity leave I remember feeling in a style rut, although that was some years ago. You get out of the habit of looking after your wardrobe I guess, and your needs change. It can be hard to step back into that at any time, but especially because of lockdowns

I could of written your post!

I go for business on top - smart top/jumper, tidy/neat hair and then comfort on the bottom - leggings/pj’s and comfy fluffy socks
