Brand for sustainable cotton apron?

I am going round in circles on Google / Etsy looking for a good quality, pretty cotton apron but it must be a sustainable / fairtrade cotton.

Google keeps showing me plain ones I can buy for trade and to print on and I think a lot of listings are not including info on eco / fairtrade info so don't hit the results.

Can anyone recommend a good brand which has this at their core and who also do household??

Does it have to be cotton? Linen is more sustainable, Libeco is a Belgian brand (not cheap I will warn) but the flax is grown in Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, North of France IIRC) and the factory is sustainably run in Belgium, no toxic dyes, every part of the plant used, etc. to get a fabric with the smallest possible footprint. You can read the entirety of it on their website. Good quality linen makes for excellent aprons (and dish towels) that last a lot longer than cotton IME.

Ooh happy to look at linen if it's got better eco credentials. It's for a teenager who's unknowingly educating me about all this!

I'm bumping this as I'm still on a quest. The Seasalt one is too plain and the other brand is too pricey!!

I think it is going to need to be an ethical brand that happens to sell aprons as the description doesn't necessarily include all their eco credentials...

You could look at Marimekko, currently in the Black Friday sale on Nordic Nest they're around the same price as the Seasalt ones. They're not organic cotton but they use Better Cotton (Google the Better Cotton Initiative for more info, it's a more holistic approach) and since they're Scandi the sustainability ambitions tend to be taken seriously as opposed to being just marketing. I visited the factory once, years ago when being sustainable wasn't mainstream yet and they were already taking it very seriously then.

Have you googled for GOTS certified, that should also narrow down results.

If you Google Japanese aprons on Etsy, it should bring up a linen one that I have, but mine came from Lithuania via a cook shop in Devon, no longer a cookshop!
