Biker/lace up boots for slim ankles

Hi guys, hoping for some decent boot suggestions. I'm after a pair of lace up biker style boots with the perfect amount of 'chunkiness' that I can wear with jeans, skirts, everything basically.

I'm quite petite with long slim legs and very skinny ankles. Before lockdown I tried on a few pairs in shops but even with having the laces as tight as possible most pairs gape around my ankles. I like Doc Martens but they are way too chunky for me and don't really fit my vibe, I just don't think I pull them off. I tried a pair on and they looked like clown shoes on me even though I'm a shoe size 4 Confused

So essentially I want slim black biker boots in soft supple leather that come up quite far up the ankle (I guess longish shaft if that's what it's called) but that will be tight enough to not gape at the top. I want a bit of chunk to suit the current trend because I don't want them to look mumsy or dowdy, but not super chunky either. And they need to be quite narrow around the toes as my feet are slim, lots that I've seen online seem to widen out around the front of the foot to give that clowny type of look? I don't mind a buckle here and there but not lots of fussy buckles and studs everywhere!

My budget is max £150. I'm in my early 30's and am pretty casual most of the time if that helps but I want these to look decent and good quality. Thanks in advance!

Well I’ve literally just bought the Grenson Nanette’s and I absolutely love them! Out of your price range though as they are £310 (reduced to £247 if you buy from Flannels website with a promo code).

I am also petite with slim legs and size 4 feet. I haven’t worn them out yet as they were only delivered yesterday but there wasn’t any obvious gaping at the top and they seem to fulfil the rest of your criteria.

Fly boots are slim fit, Ster used to be similar to what you are describing but I don't know if they make that style anymore, or Rami I think were another? Traditionally hopeless in wet weather which is a shame as it means I won't buy another pair, but they might have addressed that now and I used to save mine for dry days.

They are blowfish. I usually buy through schuh - quick delivery and a 365 day return policy!

Ooh some really good suggestions here which I never would have found myself so thank you! I think I'm liking the ones you've linked the most so far @Toomanycats99.

I feel like it's one of those things where I'll see a pair and instantly know they're 'the one' if that makes sense? It hasn't happened yet but I'm probably over thinking this way too much!

I have DMs and I also have [[https://www.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/prod-350192930.aspx#searchkeyword=Geox%20boots%20womens&shoppingtool=search these Geox Boots]]

The Geox ones are definitely slimmer and more supple (although I love them both)

Ooh @RuudGullitOnAShed I like those too.

What do you guys think of these? www.danielfootwear.com/ivanna-p119277/s594090?cid=GBP&glCurrency=GBP&glCountry=GB

Not sure if there is something a bit frumpy about them or not...

Look at mustang boots. I just got a black pair of biker style ones because I'm not really into all the buckles etc. They aren't too chunky, and are quite slim fitting all round.

I have these - Dune Prestone boots - and they work really well on my ankles which are very slim too.

@Luckyelephant1

Well those blowfish are way under budget so I reckon you have enough to get a second pair of different ones as well and still come in on budget!

Look at Fly London and Camper. I've had great pairs from both. Biker style but not too huge.

Clark’s Orinoco Spice are lovely, you can lace them as tight as you like, and they’re great on my skinny ankles.

I’ve just bought a pair of fly boots and have slim ankles - they fit fine with thick socks and are lighter to wear than doc Martins, but are laced up as much as they can be.

@Flowerblue which Fly boots did you buy?

I bought RAGI539 FLY ankle boots. They’re very lovely, but still need thickish socks inside. £120. They come in a rather nice range of colours too.

I’ve got slim legs and narrow feet and I have a beautiful pair from Bhava, they’re pretty narrow and come up a bit higher than DMs and other lace up boots I have. They look more delicate and lighter than the DMs I have. I don’t wear leather, these are high quality vegan leather.

They’re from a US brand:
bhavastudio.com/collections/veganboots

But are also sold in some UK stores: shoptreen.com/products/bhava-rally-combat-boots-black
