Is it a risk buying Olaplex from Amazon?

I’ve got an Amazon voucher and would like some more olaplex. I bought the first lot I’ve used from cultbeauty but as I’ve got this voucher thought I’d use it to get it there. Is it a risk to buy things like this off Amazon or eBay? I’m not sure what to do . Any opinions?

Olaplex themselves say it’s a risk. I’ve certainly heard of fakes on amazon.

I’ve seen a few comments about people reporting it being fake so i avoided it. I got mine from lookfantastic.com/ where they keep having 20% off

I only buy olaplex for authorised stockists so unsure about Amazon. However as you’re already familiar with Olaplex, it should be obvious to you whether it’s a fake product or not, and if it is you’ll get a full refund - so you can decide whether it’s worth a try or not. I have noticed it’s sold by/fulfilled by Amazon which is a good sign.

@EasterIssland Bought a giant version from Selfridges before lockdown! Loads of companies are authorised to sell it like cult beauty, feel unique, John Lewis, space nk, ASOS etc so you can shop around. Look fantastic is genuine too of course - I’ve ordered it from them in the past and they added it in a Olaplex gift bag which was cute.

Only buy from authorized sellers. Like PP said , Look Fantastic is a good place to get it.

Thanks so much everyone. I won’t risk it .

Amazon also sell groceries, cleaning products etc. How about spending your voucher on that stuff, then you can use the money you’ve saved on your supermarket shop to buy your Olaplex from an authorized seller. That way your kind of using the voucher to help you buy it rather than it being an extra expense.
