Heels with tights

My office is incredibly cold so I always wear black tights this time of the year. What heels go well with thick black tights? I've tried boots but don't like the look of them with my slightly larger ankles. Thanks

I would love to know this too. I’ve tried many combinations but what I’m wearing at the moment is black suede ankle boots with a sort of cut out v shape at the front which seems to make my legs look better. I would like to wear longer knee length boots but my calves just seem too chubby.
I’ve also been advised that a brighter colour show with thick black tights would work but I haven’t been that daring yet!

I've been wondering this too. I tend to wear black shoes or ankle boots and they look much better with thick tights in a colour, plum or really dark green works well.

Have you tried different coloured tights.

I'm a bit boring when it comes to coloured tights. I have what my husband calls kankles and I struggle to find decent boots that don't cut me off at the ankles. I'm wondering if wedges or something may work. Sick of wearing flat ballerina shoes each day

I think boots work best with black tights - either ankle or knee high

I wear Clark’s black court shoes to work most days. They have quite a chunky heel so are comfortable enough to wear all day and look smart

Yes I think you'd be fine with court shoes with opaques as long as the heel is chunky.

Opaques with stilettos always looks top heavy, imo. Block heels all the way. And suede look best I think. Patent is a no no with opaques. Looks all wrong.

Try M&S, they always have comfy office shoes that aren't too high and they have a lot in wide fit.

Actually just had a look, M&S have a "wide fit block heel court shoe" that has a heel that's only 50mm.

That'd be a workhorse!
