I’m thinking of treating myself. Do they live up to the hype and are they worth the money? My hair is long and wavy so most hairdryers frizz it up.

I think so. I have curly hair and I like mine.

There are so many threads about this. It may be worth searching for them.

Yep! I love mine! I have had it for three years and it has rescued my hair! (Mine is quite fine, but was very damaged) It can’t overheat your hair. It’s so light you don’t get tired. (I have a wrecked shoulder) It’s fab.

I love mine too! Get a big vented GHD brush too. I never use straighteners now.

I love mine. If you want to save a bit, buy a refurbished one for £239 direct from Dyson. I suspect they are simply the returns from the no quibble trial period so haven't had much use. You still get your one month trial and a one year guarantee.

I only use the diffuser so recently sold the nozzles on ebay for about £35, which further reduced the cost of my lovely Dyson 😉

I love mine. I have long, fine highlighter hair which is a bit damaged. It adds volume and gives a pretty good smooth finish. And it’s so quick so my arms don’t get tired and I can do a proper blow dry.

Thanks everyone. Pretty much a thumbs then. I think I’ll go for it.

I also love mine. I loved it right from the start. I've had it three years, I think. It's a lot of money but the results are excellent. All my family who've used it, also love it (2xDSs plus very picky DD all in their 20s). Get it! You know you want to. DH got mine through Boots when they were doing double points. You can also get it through Dyson and pay in instalments and return it if you don't like it.

I'm going to be the opposite. Tried it at a health spa and seriously disappointed. I've got long, thick wavy hair with a bit of frizz and it did nothing for me.

I love mine! Not very useful given lockdown 2.0 - but - if you’re anywhere near London, the Dyson store on Oxford Street has a hairdressers upstairs and you can book an appointment and they use the hairdryer etc to style your hair and show you how to get the best out of it etc. Think it’s £30 and if you buy a product you get it taken off the bill

I’ve had one for a couple of years. It is lighter and drys my hair faster than other hairdryers but I haven’t noticed any difference in how my hair looks or feels. I’ve got long thick hair and still get the same amount of frizz etc as with any other hairdryer.

It doesn’t dry my hair any faster than my ghd hair drier. Overhyped IMO.

I’m gonna be brave and say it’s not worth the money.
It’s quieter than my cheaper one but not quiet enough to listen to music or anything, and I wouldn’t say it was any quicker at drying hair.
I do think it’s more gentle on my hair though (long, coloured, prone to splitting Sad) so it depends on your priorities.

Sorry, I’m no help at all !
