Teeth Whitening experience please ?

Hi
I'd really like to get my teeth whitened . I'm very conscious to the extent that my partner noticed I sometime hide my mouth when speaking !
There's seems varied reviews and ways to do this . I guess my budget is about £1000.
Any advise really appreciated and thanks .

I've had it done with the laser whitening at the dentists then the trays they give you to take home. Didn't cost anywhere near £1000 but can't remember how much it did cost. I didn't get the amazing result I had dreamed off but I did see a visible difference which was enough for a confidence boost. I hated the trays though and am currently looking into Crest strips which a lot of people say give a comparable result without so much faffing around with the gels etc. If they don't do enough I'm thinking of composite bonding where they paint something on to your teeth but it's expensive so I might look into doing it abroad. Will look for high quality options at affordable prices here first though.

Have you tried the crest whitening strips? They work you can actually feel them working too.

I tried with the gel and trays, it was too strong for me and I got a nasty gum infection, it was so painful I never tried again. I still have the trays but for me it was an expensive and painful experience.

I've used crest whitening strips to great effect. They do make my teeth sensitive with prolonged use so stock up on sensodyne

I bought these, I have seen a slight improvement but I haven't finished the fortnight yet. I used NADINE25 to get 20% off but I'm not sure if its still valid. There is a 20% first time discount though.

I had trays made by the dentist and the gel to use at home. It cost £300 and I’m in London.

My teeth were fairly good to start and I just wanted them brightened up. They did this, but it didn’t go brilliant white, still looks pretty natural. They didn’t whiten evenly so some are whiter than others. The gels caused horrible tooth sensitivity and I could only do a few nights in a row before I needed a break. Also you need to avoid any foods that stain teeth when you’re doing it, like tea, coffee any darker foods which is obviously a bit inconvenient especially for days/weeks on end.

Overall I’m not sure I’d do it again! Lots of fuss for a small improvement. I might look into getting it done at the dentist as think that may be easier and quicker, if I ever want it again.

I lasted 5 minutes and got the most hideous stabbing pains and had to remove them!
