Wide leg trouser outfits

As a huge hipped, heavy legged 40 year old I am still celebrating the demise of the skinny jean.

I am deeply excited by the prospect of updating my wide-legged trouser collection, but am having problems pinning things down. Can anyone help? I''m after some indigo high rise jeans, some wool ones and might even go wild with velvet or cord. All dark because of the aforementioned tree trunks. I fancy pairing them with an All Saints leather jacket or Oakwood quilted leather coat - something with a nipped in waist.

BUT everything seems sold out in longer lengths! I''m 5'11'', so they do need to be a decent length. Do any of you clever lot know where I should look? Have browsed from LTS, Top Shop, Selfridges, and what feels like all places in between! Budget up to £150 for the right trousers (Actually, I'd probably sell a kidney for a flattering pair of trousers) and up to £300 for a multipurpose jacket.

Anyone else found any winners? Thank you wise ones!

Have you looked at Toast? They have wide leg jeans and plenty of other wide leg trousers. https://www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+trousers/c4pbc/indigo+hemp+cotton+jeans.htm?clr=C4PBCIndigosw

A few weeks ago I got a great pair of wide indigo jeans from Zara. Very long too. Seem only very marginally shorter than my 36 leg jeans from LTS.

With wool trousers, I used to go for Max Mara, Escada or Hugo Boss for a great fit. They’re a bit more expensive but can be had on clearance or at an outlet for a vaguely ok price.

Try Gap for wide-legged trousers and jeans. I found a couple of good pairs early in the summer. They also do a tall fit.

You may struggle with the length if tall, but Oska trousers are pure genius for the sturdy of limb. They do veer towards 7/8 lengths though. Otherwise vintage men’s jeans or ‘mom’ jeans, 80s and 90s ones are very cool and brilliant if you have a small waist. Lucy and Yak Addisons are super comfy and wide legged.

Thanks all, will have a look. Haven’t even heard of CraftyCorvid’s suggested brands, so will get googling.

I’m your height and size 12 (Covid 14 sob) and have lovely long ones from marks last year.
