Hi ladies!

More of a function than fashion questions here but does anyone have any recommendations for WARM but waterproof jackets to encourage me to keep my daily walking regime up through winter? I am thinking something like North Face Triclimate but there are so many of them!

Following this...

I have a Joules 3 in 1 coat which has a fleece layer inside and is lovely and warm but I want a longer one really.

What's your budget?

@SinkGirl do you have a link?

@firedragon101 the budget is limitless!! Hahaha not really but I’m looking at it as an investment and willing to pay what needs to be paid to stay active. I’d say approx £300 but flexible. Actually thinking to do my research and make my decision now and maybe buy it in the Black Friday sales.

Oooh no budget...you can get a fab coat!
So north face HyVent 25,000psi (higher the psi number higher waterproofing)
But if you want a proper job go for a Mountain Hardware dry.Q.Elite this is a whopping 40,000psi, breathable and wind proof. A merino wool or cashmere jumper underneath will keep you warm without adding bulk, it also allows your skin.

Mountain hardware do dry.Q.active but it's only 20,000 psi so you may not such a coat coat.

Basically you want a coat of 15,000 psi, gortex (iirc) is 20,000, and berghaus gortex is still a good purchase, as is the Kathmandu gortex range.

I'll try and do some links tonight as got to get back to work! but also checkout Marmot goretex.
I worked for an outdoor clothing company (many moons agoGrin), so maybe a bit out of date as technology in fabrics changes quickly. But the psi (waterproofing per square inch) won't have changed😁. Just another tip 100% waterproofing won't be breathable so gets uncomfortable if you get sweaty!
