Handbag suggestions under £500

I've never had a nice bag and this year I want to push my luck and suggest husband gets me a nice one for Christmas.
I absolutely love the Chanel no 19 bag but that's just a tad over budget.
Can anyone suggest a nice bag in the £250-500 range? I don't mind something small but not wallet sized, I imagine I'd use it when not with kids so I don't need to fit loads in but a phone, purse, keys and make up would be good.

Have a look at Coach. They have good sales, so if you add willing to wait, you could get a bag for under £200 and so could buy a purse as well because you are under budget Grin

I really like Aspinal bags. Coach also do lovely bags and the leather is great quality. Both companies have very good online descriptions and photos of their bags.

Another vote for coach- they have some beautiful but practical styles, great quality leather and some fab colours to choose from if you want something slightly different.

I got the Coach Prarie in Jan for I think 125. I absolutely love it. Beautiful soft leather and looks great.
Personally I've no interest in a M aulberry and have never owned one but I do appreciate the Bayswater has a cult following. Have you any opportunity to get to a department store and physically touch some bags, ascertain texture, type etc?? (I'm all about the texture 🤣)

try some of the facebook selling pages for the likes of Mulberry, LV etc.

Can pick up nearly new bags for about 1/2 price and the fb pages are heavily moderated and bags must be proved to be genuine.

Aspinal is also great quality at great prices. If you buy during Black Friday sales you can make a great saving.

Or you could have a look at some Italian handcrafted bags. They are really well made, beautiful and reasonably priced. Can’t remember brand names right now but will get back to you.

Aspinal as mentioned above (although worth having a look in real life if you can as they can be heavy), and I really love Longchamp's leather handbags - really light and well-made.

I love the Kooples one because you can lie it flat and unzip it like a suitcase so you can see all your stuff easily. It doesn't matter how small my bag, I'm always rooting round trying to find stuff.

Aspinall one in sale.

Both from Selfridges website.

I like APC quality is good and within your price range. I also have a bag from the Italian online company Mirta handmade by a small family business which is amazing quality.
