Is this wedding appropriate?

Would you wear this to a spring/summer wedding?

I really like it but am worried the shorts are a bit short.

Is this wedding appropriate?

Not really, no.

I wouldn’t - but not because of the short length... it’s too casual IMO.

But if it’s just the length you think is an issue then you’re fine.

No, too short

Not really no.

If you have good legs go for it!

Too casual I think. Unless wedding is in a hot country on a beach.

No too short and too casual.

As long as your legs are covered with tights, I think it would look nice with your hat/fascinator and button hole.

No. Absolutely not.

It's just... weird. The top half looks like a cheap take on a work suit, so even in that colour, pretty boring and faintly depressing for a wedding. And yes, the shorts are all wrong - not only for a wedding, but also that jacket. It comes far too low relative to the short length and only exaggerates the short-shorts idea. They just don't look as if they are supposed to go together.

I can't imagine what this outfit is for, it doesn't seem to fit any occasion... but especially not a wedding.

Not unless I knew it was a casual wedding. Normally I'd dress more formally for a wedding.

GlamGiraffe · 14/09/2020 11:42

No. Too short (and I'm a big fan of short). Its just not situationaly appropriate.

Thanks all. I was concerned about the length - but it is a quite a casual wedding: no sit down meal, no church, no day/night all starts at 4pm.

I’m going to be 8 weeks postpartum for the wedding and I’m struggling to come up with ideas.

Back to the drawing board Sad

Ok for casual wedding providing it passes the how much leg can you see when you sit down test

I can't see why not as long it's not a really formal wedding. I'd add better shoes though as those sandals in the pic are awful.

I think for a wedding 8 weeks after birth i would be looking for a comfortable and forgiving dress rather than a tailored shorts suit!

I think it'd be fab for a wedding

Yes it's great. I don't understand why people are saying it's too informal? Why?

Casual wedding - just a nice dress then surely?
Not least because that's what everyone else will be wearing - ok, stand out... but not like a sore thumb Grin

Apollo I am usually a dress person, but I’m so sick of them I thought a change would help me feel better.

Fizzy it’s really not that bad!! I still quite like the suit Grin

I think with the right heels and styling it could look really nice. But I’m going to keep looking - welcome any ideas.

I think it’s super cute and with the right accessories and shoes would be totally fine!

I thought it was cute too Kodiak I was just concerned about length in the shorts. But now I’m worried I would look like I forgot I was going to a wedding Grin

What about a jumpsuit rather than a dress?

Really random! Go with a dress or jumpsuit.

You need to factor in that at 8 weeks post partum you are very unlikely to have a figure like the model. You will probably be around a stone or more over your preferred weight with a soft belly and swollen boobs. Sorry to be brutally honest!

I quite like it, but it's a hard no from me for a wedding
