Hello!

Following on from the previous, lovely thread, which saw me through Spring / Summer.

For sharing plus size fashion / outfits and general shopping chat.

Old faces and new, all very welcome Smile.

Hey @Peachypips78 Grin.

Hoping I can actually post pics soon! If I can't by tomorrow, I might contact MNHQ 🤔.

Hello "Jessica"!

Thanks for the new thread. Almost every one I know is off work tomorrow so can enjoy the weather. Very jealous.

We've been told that the "lockdown-dressdown" is done and it's back to smarter wear in the office now. I still refuse to wear tights yet though (such a rebel!). It's been quite nice as a couple of colleagues commented that I had mostly stayed smart Smile

After shorts and a t-shirt all day, I'm in a pink cosy tunic, leggings and fluffy socks this evening.

I know @StCharlotte, I feel so weird having a new name on here Blush. Ah well.

Sorry you have to wear proper office wear now. But I also would quite enjoy the chance to dress up at the moment, so maybe it'll be fun...or maybe that is just me living vicariously Grin.

Hi everyone, I'm desperately in need of some style ideas, just reading through the last thread for some inspiration!! I've been in denial about being a size 16 for so long that I haven't bothered with any sort of styling (my DC are only 4 so really anything that wasn't too stained/ torn was fine for ages!) but now they're at school I'd like to spend some time working out what suits me and updating my wardrobe. Who knows, if I don't look and feel like a complete scruff all the time, it may even help with my weight loss plans...!

Hey all! I still can't post pic .

I'll beg MNHQ today. See if they can expedite my MNland Visa Grin. I'm sure not, but worth an ask.

Ah @RubySlippers77, yes, I have been there exactly! It is no fun getting used to a new size and I used to think that if I bought clothes in a bigger size, I'd somehow failed. The result was, I was just wearing clothes which were tight or uncomfortable! This thread has been so useful for inspiration. Women of all sizes looking amazing on here. I know you and I have been trying to lose weight on our weight loss thread, but while that is slowly happening, I plan to still look as nice as possible in the process Smile!

Glad everyone else has found us too! Welcome back all.

Not sure whether to tag people who haven't rejoined yet, but might be a bit desperate of me WinkBlush.

Anyway, I am in my comfies today. Leggings from Next and a Jurassic Park tshirt 🤓🦖.

Hi @RubySlippers77 - welcome to a lovely accepting group! I went through a stage of almost punishing myself for being overweight by wearing horrible clothes- I've stopped this now and make sure I wear clothes I love even if I think they make me look fat! I'm trying not to care if I look fat. Also trying to lose some weight- we might need to make a 'medium size' thread!

Even though I am posting this isn't showing up on my I'm On feed- anyone know why?

JessicaTheJellyfish · 14/09/2020 10:54

Oh no, I don't know why that might be @Peachypips78. Strange.

MNHQ haven't got back to me re letting me post pics also... hope it isn't related to my new account!

Welcome @Springcleanforthemayqueen Smile. You are in good company here wearing pinafores! We have had some lovely pinafore and dungarees outfits on the the last thread!

Placemarking and nice to join at the beginning of a thread! I'm in the office today in my usual v. comfortable leggings and Evans tunic top, with my favourite fit flop sandals - making the most of the final sandal wearing days of the year Smile

Excuse the filthy mirror...
Sunny yellow boxy top today with black jeans. Will wear with my tan saltwater sandals as a last nod to summer.

Definitely feeling like summer around here! It's warm! Think I may need to change into something cooler actually Confused. Weird fir September.

Re the whole punishing yourself for being bigger, by not buying or wearing nice clothes; God yes! I did this for ages. I think it's counterproductive, as you then feel crap and have less motivation to eat healthily or exercise. I have definitely been making healthier choices since the start of this thread, when I was just eating cake and feeling sorry for myself!

Heard back from HQ. No pics for 48 hours for me sadly! So I can probably post tomorrow. I say this as though anyone is seriously anticipating photos of me 🤣🤣🤣.

It's more that I actually like sharing them and find it quite boosting really. It's like therapy Grin. Anyway, will post tomorrow.

Hello everyone, nice thread. Love the new name Jessica. No photo here as I am lying on my bed in a saffron towel. Been landscaping my garden today and got out of the shower too tired even to rub myself dry. Think tomorrow might be cement covered shorts and my oldest Breton.

Thank you so much for the welcome everyone!

@Peachypips78 I have the same issue with a couple of threads I'm on (although strangely not this one!), even though they are active threads they never go into 'Threads I'm On', only 'Threads I'm Watching' - no idea why Confused on the bright side, a 'medium size' thread would also be great, should I ever get there Grin

@DottyDotAgain I usually love Fitflop sandals, I've been a complete devotee... but last year's pair were way too small (my usual size, but the soles were 2cm shorter than than they should have been) and this year I went for the Velcro fastening ones, only to have the Velcro go non-sticky after a bit. How annoying! I'm now trying to get my money back for the second pair, as they're no longer wearable.

@JessicaTheJellyfish it's very inspiring to see other people look amazing! I was a size 12 for so many years and didn't have to think about what to wear, lived in jeans and T shirts, looked fine. Post-DC... wobbles everywhere, clothes end up stained 5 minutes after putting them on, I end up wearing whatever fits/ is comfy because I don't have the energy to think about anything further. Hopefully this thread can help me find a new style to improve my self esteem...!
